<div>I am Vanessa, your average, almost 40-year-old single mom. A few months ago, <strong>I was diagnosed with stage 2B HER2+ breast cancer in my left breast.</strong> I am currently undergoing the TCHP chemotherapy treatment and have just finished my 3rd round of infusions as part of a 6-cycle, every 3 weeks regimen. I will then have a double mastectomy, reconstruction surgery, and another 6-9 months of targeted radiation and chemotherapy in order to reduce recurrence. Suffice it to say, it has been rough. The side effects of the medications are intense and scary at times. I went into anaphylactic shock during my second infusion and had to remove that medication from my treatment plan. I am trying to remain positive, and there are some good days, but for the most part, it’s emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausting.

<div>Getting a diagnosis like this is not what I had in my plan. My plan is to be on this Earth for a long time, to see my son grow, become a man, and have a family of his own. To enjoy this beautiful life that I have been given and to enjoy it with the people I love the most. That is still my plan, but I need help.

<div>He was a young man with a caring spirit and generous heart. Richie’s sunny and outgoing nature brought him friends from all walks of life, and he thoroughly enjoyed an active social scene. He remained close to his family and made it a point to always keep in touch with his numerous relatives, both far and wide. Richie had a wonderful ability to self-reflect and laugh at himself, such as when he was being a hypochondriac or facing his fears of flying. It is a blessing that he was recently able to realize his dream of sitting on the beach in Hawaii.

Richie Sauta Gone Too Soon

<p>I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to tell everyone that Mark Kivlehan has passed away. <br />We have lost a brother, son, friend and more importantly a father. <span style="font-size:1.0625rem;">Mark left behind 4 children( Cameron 12, Jaxon 7, Sydney 4 and Anthony 17; who Mark raised as his own since the age of 2). </span><span style="font-size:1.0625rem;">Mark was a kind soul and a super loving man, he would do anything for anyone. He would always think about others and how he could help them. He was a great father and cherished every second spent with his children. It’s a tragedy that his children lost their father so close to the holidays. I’m asking for my nephews, my niece and my sister Stacey; if we could raise some money for the children in his honor it would be greatly appreciated. No amount is too small. The Freitas and Kivlehan family have been so blessed with all the love, support and prayers everyone has shown during this time. </span>

This fundraiser is for my grandmother who just passed away, a frontline nurse of 20 years, and her husband Thomas Decker who is in dire need of help right now. COVID caused Paula's care during her brief stay in Bear Mountain Sudbury to deteriorate quickly from rehabilitation to neglect. Her rehab stopped completely along with basic care like even just cutting her nails and giving her water. Paula and Tom have always been taking care of people and giving to others for as long as I remember. My grandmother served her community as a nurse at Marlborough Hospital for over 20 years, all while taking care of her aging mother after her father passed away from cancer.
Thomas has lost the love of his life too soon and so the money raised here will all go to Thomas to help pay for the expenses and services.

Please Help A Former Nurse And Her Husband

After being sick for just a few days, on Friday January 25th, Josh was admitted to the Critical Care Unit at his local hospital with a severe case of strep pneumonia and fast spreading sepsis. He was put on life support with the hope that his body would fight the infection and start to heal. He is finally able to breath on his own and will hopefully continue to improve over the next few weeks. He still has a long road ahead of healing and getting back his strength which means he will be out of work for the indefinite future. As a young healthy guy, a situation like this is never expected. Since he is receiving no sick pay or disability, as the days out of work begin to add up, any donation is greatly appreciated to help Josh get through this difficult time.

Hey there everyone! First off thank you for taking the time and energy to read about Sara's campaign. I am one of four daughters, the youngest. Sara Eubanks is one of my older sisters next to her twin Mary. Sara is a single mother of 13 year old Clifton. She owns and operates her own make-up company, Unbreakable Beauty, that she has done wonders building HERSELF for the last 6 plus years. Not to mention, works full time bartending and helping at two restaurants owned by our brother in law. She has been extremely hard working all her life and has made a beautiful life for herself, son Clifton, and dog Taxx. The first weekend in June, we had traveled to our home town Tallahassee from where we live in south west Florida. Our purpose for the trip was to baptize our sweet two and half month old niece, on June 4th.Unfortunately, after rehearsal for the baptism and a quick lunch, my Uncle called uttering the words "it's Sara, it's an emergency." Mary (Sara's twin) was on the phone with our Uncle David handling the daunting uncertain news about our sister Sara, very calmly.... That morning, June 3rd, while sharing coffee and a bagel with our aunt and uncle Sara complained of a very terrible migraine. Suddenly, Sara's head dropped from her hands and she began to throw up. My aunt called 911. The EMTs couldn't tell what happened exactly at first response. Her blood pressure was extremely high but no definite signs of stroke. Fast forward two weeks, loving, painstaking, resilient Sara Eubanks is coming out of ICU after a long 11 day stay. Still in the hospital though, here at TMH. She had what they call "spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage", This is commonly due to an abnormality of the blood vessels within the subarachnoid space that has caused them to rupture and bleed on their own.  The most common vascular abnormality leading to subarachnoid hemorrhage is a cerebral aneurysm, or brain aneurysm, but other vascular conditions can also cause subarachnoid hemorrhage. In Sara's case it was a brain aneurysm. Sara is extremely lucky to have been close to a hospital, not alone or sleeping at the time, and here in Tallahassee with some of the countries most groundbreaking Endovascular Neurosurgeons! Especially lucky. Statistics say, something like 40% of people die from these types of aneurysms. Neurosurgeon, Dr. Lawson was able to coil 85% of the aneurysm the ruptured within four hours of her arrival. There is a re-bleed period between days 4-10. Which, thank God we have exceeded now. Her latest CT scan showed her body is reabsorbing the blood. (Luckily they didn't have to operate or shave her head in order to drain the blood.) This blood causes a lot of pain as the spinal fluid with the blood passes through your spinal cord to slowly be absorbed. Most of her body is affected due to the nervous system. While Dr. Lawson was operating he found two more aneurysms. These additional two did not cause any of the bleeding, but going forward they will need to be addressed surgically. Along with the large oddly shaped aneurysm that ruptured near her brain stem; will need a more attention and a stint. Lawson says, Sara will have at least one more surgery. Most likely in 6 weeks. (if possible doctor likes to wait ample time due to radiation from last CT scan) To quote my mother, "we are not out of the woods, but we can see the light" God bless our mother who has had to watch all four of us all lose our father in February and now handle all of this with her own daughter. With that being said, this is going to be a long journey for Sara and all of her friends and family. We look to help Sara raise money to pay for medical bills, post op treatments, therapies, rent, car payment, utilities, and anything she has financial responsibility for her son etc. Anything helps!!
