  1. Sailing for a Binding Fossil Fuel Treaty and a Just Transition. In April of 2026, we will sail across the Caribbean — from St. Maarten to Bonaire, Curaçao, Aruba, and onward to Santa Marta, Colombia — to demand a fossil-free future grounded in justice. To make this journey possible, we are raising funds to cover essential sailing costs, port fees, communications, and community events across the islands. The Climate Justice Flotilla is a peaceful, wind-powered civil society endeavour exposing the colonial roots of fossil fuel extraction in the Caribbean and advancing urgent political demands: A binding Fossil Fuel Treaty Debt cancellation, reparations and adequate climate finance for the Global South. A just transition that includes, downscaling energy and material consumption in the Global North For centuries, the Caribbean has been treated as a corridor of extraction — from colonial trade routes to today’s oil terminals and coal exports. In La Guajira, Colombia, the largest open-pit coal mine in the southern hemisphere continues to fuel global markets, while frontline communities face water scarcity, pollution, and displacement. We sail to expose these connections. Our route begins in St. Maarten and continues to Bonaire — where residents, with support from Greenpeace, won a landmark climate case holding the Dutch government accountable for failing to protect the island from climate impacts. From there, we sail to Curaçao and Aruba, hosting public forums, community dialogues, and media actions before arriving in Santa Marta for the first International Conference on the Just Transition Away from Fossil Fuels (24-29 April). This flotilla is not symbolic. It is strategic. We recognize Colombia’s leadership in convening this historic conference and the Netherlands’ long engagement in international climate diplomacy. Our mission is to reinforce this process from the water — peacefully, visibly, and collectively — pushing for ambitious, science-aligned and justice-based outcomes. We envision a fossil-free world grounded in reciprocity and care, where seas connect peoples in solidarity rather than exploitation. A Journey Across the Caribbean The flotilla will travel nearly 1,000 nautical miles across the Caribbean, connecting communities and movements across five territories: 6 April – Sint Maarten 12 April – Bonaire 15 April – Curaçao 18 April – Aruba 20–21 April – Arrival in Santa Marta, Colombia Along the way we will host community dialogues, artistic collaborations, and media storytelling that bring frontline voices directly into the global conversation on transitioning away from fossil fuels. How Your Donation Helps The flotilla will consist of several volunteer-crewed sailboats travelling between islands and organizing public exchanges in each port. Your support directly powers this journey. €20 – Feed a crew member for a day Provides food and drinking water for someone sailing between islands. €50 – Dock a boat in port for a day Allows the flotilla to safely dock and host community meetings and public forums. €100 – Equip the flotilla Helps acquire essential navigation, safety, or communication equipment. €400 – Bring one boat into Colombia Covers immigration, customs, and port clearance for a sailboat arriving in Santa Marta. €1000 – Keep a boat connected for the entire voyage Covers satellite internet so the flotilla can share stories, coordinate vessels, and broadcast events during the journey. Even €10 helps keep the flotilla moving, covering small but essential logistical costs along the route. Join the Voyage The flotilla sets sail in early April, and we are raising funds now to make the journey possible. The sea routes that once carried colonial extraction can become routes of resistance and regeneration. Be part of this voyage. Support the Climate Justice Flotilla today.

  3. Across Africa, communities on the frontlines of the climate crisis are facing unprecedented challenges. Floods, droughts, and displacement are becoming part of daily life. Yet the young people standing up for climate justice are often under-resourced, underrepresented in the media, and at risk of violence. That’s why United for Climate Justice, together with Resilient40, SSEF Uganda and XR DRC Kinshasa, is launching this crowdfunding campaign. We are joining forces to train more than 70 climate justice activists in non-violence, peace-building, resilience, and media advocacy in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. What We’re Doing With your support, we will deliver: Uganda (Oct 29–31, 2025): A 3-day Media & Non-Violent Advocacy Workshop for 30 frontline activists. They’ll learn to tell their stories, engage the press, and organize peaceful climate campaigns. Uganda – Youth Empowerment on Circular Economy: Hands-on training for youth in seven districts to turn waste into opportunity, while running non-violent campaigns against plastic pollution. Congo (Oct 28–29, 2025): A 2-day training in Kinshasa for 22 displaced activists from conflict-affected provinces. Topics include active non-violence, stress management, and strategic action planning. Why It Matters Climate Justice: Uganda’s wetlands and Congo’s vast peatlands are critical to our planet’s future. Peace & Resilience: In regions where tensions run high, training in non-violence saves lives. Amplified Voices: When activists can safely tell their stories, policies change. How Your Donation Helps €50 trains one activist for one day. €150 covers meals and transport for an activist from a rural area. €500 sponsors a trainer or resource person. €1,000+ funds media production and campaign outputs. Every contribution — no matter the size — builds peace, amplifies frontline voices, and protects our shared environment. Join Us This is a grassroots movement led by United for Climate Justice, Resilient40, SSEF Uganda and XR DRC — but its impact is global. Together, we can train a new generation of peaceful climate justice leaders. Please donate today and share this campaign with your networks. Your support will empower youth activists to protect the environment and build a future rooted in peace, dignity, and resilience.

  4. Who is United for Climate Justice? We are a broad, diverse movement of ordinary people who refuse to stand by while the climate crisis deepens. We are students striking for our future, parents defending their children, and grandparents fighting for a livable planet. United for Climate Justice (UCJ) is a global-wide network linking dozens of grassroots groups, NGOs, and communities who share one goal: climate justice. Together we are building a fairer, healthier, and more sustainable future. Why We Exist Across Europe and the world, we are witnessing the collapse of ecosystems, unprecedented floods and wildfires, and growing social inequality. Governments say they want to act on climate change—but at the same time they continue to hand out billions of euros every year in fossil fuel subsidies to the industries most responsible for the crisis. Fossil subsidies make oil, coal, and gas cheaper and cleaner alternatives harder to compete with. They keep us locked into a system that harms our health, our climate, and our children’s future. We cannot solve the climate emergency while paying the polluters who cause it. What We Do Our Stop Fossil Subsidies campaign is a “movement of movements” demanding that European governments and big polluters end these subsidies and redirect public money toward clean energy, resilient communities, and social justice. We take creative, peaceful, and sometimes disruptive action to put pressure on decision-makers. We mobilise citizens across countries, publish research, expose hidden subsidies, and support communities on the frontlines of climate injustice. Because history shows that collective action—from mass protests to civil disobedience—can bring about rapid, transformative change, we are determined to build a powerful, united voice to end fossil subsidies once and for all. Your Donation Makes a Huge Difference Most of what we do is powered by volunteers and grassroots energy. This means your contribution goes directly to making our actions bigger, bolder, and more effective. With your support we can: Organise and coordinate larger cross-border mobilisations Fund materials, training, and legal support for peaceful actions Expand our communication work to reach thousands more people Produce and share up-to-date research on subsidies and alternatives Every single donation—no matter how small—helps us act for you, for your community, and for the planet. Together we can end fossil subsidies and demand climate justice. Thank you for supporting this vital work. United for Climate Justice – Stop Fossil Subsidies
