What they care about

Medically Retired Paramedic recently diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, now spends time at home with his wife and lovable German Shepard, Lyla.

I spent my life seeking adventure. I started the Fire Service at the age of 16. Off and on over the year, worked as a Paramedic and Firefighter and did a stint as a graphic designer when things got stressful. I have a lovely wife year, and two grown adult boys. After years of no sleep and stress on the body of being a Paramedic, I suddenly developed Congestive Heart Failure and spent 10 days in the hospital where it was discovered acute kidney failure all due to poor sleep from sleep apnea over the years of being on shift. Right now, I am struggling to make ends meet as I was forced into early retirement of my craft. Now I teach Part time doing EKG, Phlebotomy and IV classes. I can work from home and play with my German Shepard pup who means the world to me. My dog and my family are everything to me. I never intended to end my career at 54, but here I can with my life on a clock. Great doctors are expensive, but I am not ready to leave this world. I have too much to do still. My goal is to raise 500K for past and future medical expenses and to have money to purchase my home, so my family is taken care of for when leave this earth. I want to finish out my life with my dog Lyla and my wife not worrying about the past, just looking forward to whatever time I may have left. Troy
