Hello and thanks for stopping by! My name is Trinette Faint and I am an award-winning actress and filmmaker and me and my team of fearless women are raising funds for my new short film Happy to Share , a satirical dramedy set in the world of tech. I am the writer, director, producer, and lead actor of Happy to Share and it is a SAG low-budget project and we are aiming to raise $20,000. We're shooting October 23rd - 26th in Providence, Rhode Island and need your help! WHAT'S THE STORY? Happy to Share is about 53 year-old Daria, a Black female product manager at a tech company who is fired after she creates a successful innovative HR AI tool. When she goes to find another job, the tool she created works against her and she's forced to face the ills of the industry she once evangelized. WHY NOW AND WHY AM I THE ONE TO TELL IT? Like my heroine, I was fired from Google after 6.5 years, in 2024, at 53, and much in the same brusque manner as my character. Losing my job was a traumatic destabilizing experience, and it was when I learned the brutal statistics that in 2025 an estimated 600,000 Black women had been pushed out of the workforce, and an additional 87,000 in early 2026, that I knew I needed to respond by making this film. Happy to Share deals with themes of sexism, ageism, and racism, and, and hopefully, empowers the many women who are trying to navigate a workforce that no longer wants them. Me and my team are making this short film, not only because I can relate to Daria’s plight and that it’s timely, but because it’s an engaging story that will resonate with a lot of people. And it centers a Black woman in her 50s, and we are often overlooked. My first film, Party Pants, has been accepted into fifteen film festivals to date and has won multiple awards. With your help, Happy to Share can be just as successful, if not more! We are manifesting acceptance into film festivals such as Sundance, Tribeca, Toronto, South By Southwest, and more!
