Hi. I collapsed in Luton Airport in the security area on 8th June 2026 with a major cardiac arrest. Amazingly 2 experienced nurse were near me in the queue and they immediately stepped in to give me cpr. They shocked me twice with the airport defibrillator before the paramedics arrived who were followed by the air ambulance, I was then shocked a third time before I was able to be moved and taken to Harefield Hospital where I ended up spending nearly three weeks. We wish we could find out who the two nurses were who saved my life initially. However what has surprised me is that funding to the Essex Air Ambulance has been cut by 75% and they are now in a £2 million deficit. I am so lucky to be alive and if anybody out there would like to add to my thank you to the Essex Air Ambulance please do. I am going to donate £500 personally at the end of Octocber 2026. Thank you. Tony Nolan. I will report back then.
