<div>On Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026, Tatum was involved in a severe motorcycle accident that changed her life in an instant. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was airlifted to a Toronto Trauma Centre, where she remains in the Critical Care Unit. Among multiple serious injuries, she sustained damage to her T5 and T6 vertebrae resulting in a severed spinal cord. Doctors have shared that she is not expected to walk again.

<div>Hi, my name is Steve and I’ve been diagnosed with Stage 4, aggressive cancer, I never thought I would experience anything like this but here I am. The last year has been very difficult on myself and my family and the only thing that has got us through is the love and support from our family and friends.

<div>I am a very private person and I would like nothing else but to keep this experience private but things have come to a point where I need to ask for help. I see my beautiful wife and daughter hurting everyday, my first grandchild is due Dec. 16 and I want to be here for her, her name is going to be Luna and I can’t wait to make memories with her.

<div>My first chemo treatment was Sept. 22. I experienced painful mouth sores, fever and chest pains and could barely eat or drink. My lips turned blue and my face was pale, I went to emerge which was little help, I was checked for infection, which was negative and was sent home.
</div>

<div>After going home and because I couldn’t eat or drink without feeling like I was having a heart attack I had lost 15 lbs. within 4 days. I was recommended to see a naturopath who specializes in working alongside chemotherapy and cancer treatment. After my first session I was able to eat and drink again. I immediately started feeling better, I don’t know where I’d be without their help.

<div>I’ve been going to the naturopath ever since, for two sessions a week, feeling better and stronger everytime. I recently received my second dose of chemotherapy which was stronger than the first and I was really worried I would react the same as the first dose but the difference between the two is like night and day. The naturopath treatments have helped with the side effects of the chemo while allowing the chemo to work even better.

<div>My sessions include two treatments: IV Mistletoe and Oncothermia.

<div>I had a lump in my chest and in my armpit which are both now gone. This is an amazing sign and hopefully the two large masses in my abdomen are also shrinking as well as the cancer in my tailbone.

<div>Based on my diagnosis, stage 4, aggressive, it is recommended that I continue to receive treatment twice a week for the next year, even after my last dose of chemo on Jan. 5 / 2024.

<div>After seeing the difference that these treatments have already made I know that I need to continue them to have any chance of surviving this.

<div>I'm so happy that we found something to complement the chemo treatments but they are very expensive and with all the challenges our family has already faced this year we cannot afford to continue after this week.

<div>I would be so grateful for any help you can give. The greatest lesson I’ve learned from all of this is that there are so many people with good hearts wanting to help. I just need to be a little less stubborn and know when to ask.

<div>On behalf of the family, it is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our friend and brother to many, Scotty Hyndman. Scotty was an Ironworker for over 25 years and a member of local 736 out of Hamilton. He was employed at ES Fox at the Bruce Site as our Union Stewart. We started this go fund me to assist his family with these unexpected funeral expenses and to provide assistance to his young daughter, Olivia for a future education fund. As some of you may know, our dear friend Jonas was in a devastating car accident two weeks ago.<br /><br />He spent the week in Hamilton Hospital, and is now in Owen Sound Hospital on a very long road to recovery. <br /><br />Among other major injuries, the accident caused him to lose his right arm.
<br /><br />Funds raised will assist <font color="#333333"><span>in his recovery and purchase of a prosthetic arm. Arms range from $15,000-$50,000. </span></font><br /><br />We know Jonas would be the first to offer help in any situation and want to show him all the support he has behind him. <br /><br />Thank you!

<div>On Tuesday July 11th, 2023, Ben suffered a horrific fire accident at his home. Ben is now in the Hamilton Burn Unit, where he has undergone an intrusive surgery. He burnt 25% of his body in which he also received skin grafts. He has done very well with the surgery thus far without any infection. With that being said he will be in the Hamilton Burn Unit for days to come as they have to keep him in a sterile environment and in time will require an intensive rehabilitation program in hopes to regain the mobility of his legs and body that was affected in this horrific event that took place. Ben could really use our help and we all know how kind and caring he is as he would give us the shirt off his back if we were in need. So lets try to pull together as family, friends, brothers, sisters and help him through this difficult time so he can concentrate on the healing process without the financial stress that would come along with this unfortunate accident.

<div>As some of you may already know, on Tuesday December 27th our brother Joe suffered a life altering stroke as a result of a blood clot in his brain. Joe underwent emergency surgery to remove the clot and for the most part the large blood clot was able to be removed. However, some of the clots on his brain were deemed inoperable and remain. Hours after his surgery Joe’s brain began to swell uncontrollably which then resulted in an additional surgery (Craniectomy) in order to reduce the swelling.

<div>Thankfully at this time, Joe is in stable condition at a hospital in London, however his long term prognosis is unknown as he has suffered damage to his brain stem. It will be weeks before doctors can truly decide how much damage has been done to his brain and physical abilities. He is currently unable to move anything on his left side of the body and it is our hope he will regain his mobility in the future.

Help Support Joe Andruski and Family

As some of you may or may not know our wonderful friend Joel Macleod is battling cancer once again. Joel was approaching 10 years cancer free when things took a sudden change this past October. The cancer that had originally caused Joel to have a kidney removed has now entered his lungs. He is currently working with Doctors on a path forward. <br /><br />Joel is now a father to a beautiful two year old boy, Rux and husband to his amazing wife Candice who have recently wed and built their forever home together. It is going to be a very long and difficult road ahead for this wonderful family and we would like to help alleviate some of their stresses and concerns in anyway we possible. <br /><br />Joel will inevitably be out of work for the foreseeable future, so we are asking for donations that will help cover upcoming expenses incurred from stays away from home and treatments. We know that with the pandemic, as well as the holidays quickly approaching, times are tough for most right now so any donation would be greatly appreciated.<br /><br />If you have ever had the pleasure of spending time with Joel or have even shared a quick laugh or smile with him you know just how great this guy is. Joel has been through so much but continues to maintain a positive attitude through it all. <br /><br />We thank you all so much.

Love and Support for the Macleod Family

<br />On Saturday, January 19th at about 2:30am Zach was severely injured while at work. His injuries include a head injury (the extent of which is currently unknown), a punctured lung, many broken ribs, a cut above the eye, and a cracked vertebra.  Zach is currently in a medically induced coma in the I.C.U. in order for him to heal a bit before further tests are taken. He should be taken out of the coma some time the week of January 21st. Once he is awake, tests can be performed to see if there is any brain damage or other injuries that have not been found.<br /><br />The injuries were sustained during a rigging operation. A 4'X8' sheet of plywood was being lowered down a shaft. The plywood came free from it's rigging about 60' up from the floor. Zach was in what he thought was a safe spot, but unfortunately, the plywood hit his head and chest before landing on the ground. It is estimated that the drop took only 2 seconds before impact.<br /><br />Zach was transported from site in an ambulance.The ambulance was redirected to a local airport where Zach was loaded onto an Ornge Air Ambulance and flown to Hamilton General hospital, where he is currently in the I.C.U. Zach's colleagues followed procedure properly and were able to extract him quickly to get him into the ambulance, which has given him the best chance at recovery. <br /><br />Zach's family has been at the hospital since the accident. Although he is currently not conscious, the love his family is pouring over him is likely being felt. It has been a very tough time for his wife, parents, siblings, and all the family at the hospital and elsewhere. Currently visitation is restricted to immediate family only until Zach has been released from I.C.U. I will update this page once he is able to see visitors.<br /><br />I have been asked by many how they can help and if a fundraiser would be set up. The outpouring of support for Zach, and for the other crew members on the site, has been incredible.The goal of the fundraiser is to take any financial impact felt from recovery off of Zach and his family so that they can concentrate on getting better. What he will need is still unknown, but a long road to recovery is for sure ahead.<br /><br />Thank you for your support. Please join me in wishing Zach a speedy and full recovery!!

Zachary Roberge Recovery

On December 5th, 2018 just 2 days after his 31st birthday Dustin Freer suffered a major brain bleed and was rushed to hospital. Since the 5th,  he has been through 2 brain surgeries and has been in the ICU unit at London, Ontario hospital.<br /><br />Dustin is the proud  husband  to Olivia  Freer and daddy to two children under the age of 5.<br /><br />Both Dustin and Olivia are going to be unable to work for a period of time while Dustin recovers.  In order to help eleviate some stress we have set up this go fund me page to help them with all the added expenses and loss of wages.  This has been devastating for all those who know and love them. <br /><br />Lets show them how great of a community we live in and all the love and support we can provide. Hopefully this can bring some joy this holiday season.
