Hello family, friends, and future community members! My name is Timothy Evans. I am a proud U.S. military veteran, a lifelong collector, and the founder of a brand new startup called The Slime Den. Transitioning from military service to civilian life is a journey of finding a new mission. For me, that mission has always been tied to the community, camaraderie, and pure joy I found in the trading card and collectible hobby. Whether it’s opening Pokémon packs, hunting for rare cards, or collecting Pop Mart figures, this hobby is meant to bring people together. But lately, the hobby I love has been broken by greed. Right now, the collectible space is overrun by scammers and scalpers who use predatory practices to make a quick buck. Kids, parents, and casual collectors are being pushed out by massively inflated prices. Even worse, the online "mystery pack" (or repack) market has become incredibly toxic—filled with rigged games, zero transparency, and empty promises that trick buyers into spending money on nothing. You shouldn't have to cross-check five different websites just to feel safe buying a pack of Pokémon cards. I decided I couldn't just sit back and watch that happen. That is why I created The Slime Den (proudly represented by our mascot, Hex the Slime Fox!). The Mission: A Safe Haven for Collectors I am building The Slime Den to be the "good guy" in the hobby. My goal is simple: create a completely safe, honest, and transparent environment for the community. Fair Pricing at MSRP: I am committed to providing officially licensed products at MSRP (retail price). To protect our community from scalpers buying out the shelves, we will implement reasonable purchase limits. Everyone deserves a fair chance to enjoy this hobby without paying predatory markups. Safe, Transparent Repacks: I want to make mystery packs safe again. We are developing custom "Hex Pack" software that uses smart-chip (NFC) technology to live-track our mystery packs. This guarantees 100% fairness, verifiable transparency, and live-updating odds for online streamers and buyers. It takes the "scam" out of the mystery. A Local Community Hub: My ultimate vision includes not just a robust online store, but a physical booth right here at the Hamilton Mall in Chattanooga, TN, where parents and kids can shop safely and stress-free. Why I Need Your Help To make this safe haven a reality, I have to play by the rules of the big leagues. I have already officially formed my LLC, secured my state licenses, and hired a development team to build our transparent NFC tracking system. But I have hit the biggest hurdle every startup faces: Initial Capital. To offer products at MSRP, I have to buy directly from official wholesale distributors. And to do that, I need capital to secure our first massive wave of inventory. Your contributions will go directly toward: Securing Wholesale Inventory: Purchasing our first major shipments of sealed booster boxes, blind boxes, and plushies so we can pass those retail prices onto the community. Finishing the Tech: Funding the final phase of our web developers who are building the software that keeps our custom packs 100% transparent and safe. The military taught me discipline, integrity, and how to execute a mission no matter the odds. I am bringing that exact same energy to The Slime Den. If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, you have my deepest gratitude for investing in this dream. If you cannot donate right now, simply sharing this link with your friends, family, or anyone who loves the hobby is just as valuable. All I want is the chance to go from serving my country to serving this community. Thank you for your time, your support, and for helping me build a better, safer hobby for everyone.
