Heirloom Market Co. & Bakeshop 

On February 11th, 2015 my sister Carmen Frye had a doctor's appointment to have her ParaGard (IUD) removed due to complications. Much to our surprise she learned that day she had a baseball sized tumor on her cervix. Carmen's doctor took a sample and sent it off to be biopsied and in less than five days we received word that she had<strong> Stage 4 Cervical Cancer</strong>. The news hit her really hard (as it would anyone) but she was ready to fight because she says she has her <strong>"King of Kings, Lord of Lords, and her Almighty God"</strong>. After only 11 days of receiving the news Carmen hemorraghed and had to be rushed by paramedics to Atlanta Piedmont Hospital. The next week, on February 28th, 2015 she underwent a hystorectomy. A pathology report was sent out after surgery and the results showed that <strong>5 of 28</strong> lymphnodes taken out during surgery were<strong> positive</strong> for cancer. Because of these results, she would have to endure chemotherapy and radiation. After two weeks of being in the hospital Carmen was able to return home. A week later, she was admitted again due to an abcess found in her abdomen and had to stay another week. <br />Once Carmen recovered from her surgery she was told that she would undergo<strong> chemothropy once a week for 6 weeks and 30 radiation therapy treatments</strong>. After completing her treatment she had her first P.E.T. scan in April which revealed that she was cancer free.<br />In Novemeber (the day before Thanksgiving) she went for her second P.E.T scan which unfortunantely revealed that there was<strong> cancerous activity and growth once again.</strong> The scan showed that it was in one of her lymphnodes located in between her spine and left kidney. Because surgery was far too dangerous, she was told that she would encounter an <strong>additional 28</strong> <strong>radiation treatments</strong> in order to shrink the cancer. Recently she has learned that she had a lymphedema in her left leg (a side effect from the 28 lymph nodes taken out during surgery) so she is required to go to physical therapy three times a week. <br /><strong>With all of these treatments, Carmen is unable to work at this time, and unfortunately bills are accumalating (Medical Expenses, mortgage, car payment, auto insurance, etc.) Carmen is a single mother with two little girls - McKarliegh Hope Neace (9) and Kerringtyn Makenzie Neace (7). </strong>If anyone could please help her out and make a donation I know she would greatly appreciate it, and her family would as well.<br /><strong>Thank you.</strong>

Carmen's Cervical Cancer

Joe "Big Joe" has been battling laryngeal cancer for the past 3 years with multiple reoccurrences and surgeries. For the past 5 weeks, He has been in and out of the hospital at CTCA as well as inpatient rehab recovering from pneumonia and bouts of respiratory distress. This past few weeks has been pretty rough on his body. His body is simply worn out. Today, he transitioned to inpatient hospice at Brightmoor Hospice to help keep him comfortable for his remaining days. He has fought a good fight. Kick Joe's Cancer

On  Thursday July 9th,  2015 sweet , perfect baby Sawyer came into this world at 30 weeks weighing 2 lbs 6 ozs and 14 in long. Mommy and baby are doing well, but are currently in Florida , where they will be until sweet Sawyer is bigger and stronger and ready to come home. Prayers are being answered everyday . Please help take a little bit of the financial burden off of this family as they will be located 8hours away from their home, family and friends , and shower them with whatever you can. BringIng Baby Sawyer home!!

<p>The West family's house was broken into this week. and a couple of criminals have tried to ruin Christmas for them.  As you can see in the photo, this is the aftermath of the break-in.  What you can't see on the photo is that their family dog was also attacked and injured and a lot of furniture was broken by the burglars.</p>
<p>A lot of their gifts were stolen, and I'm asking for your help to replace them and still make this Christmas a happy one.  Thank you!</p>

Christmas for the West Family

Jordan and Whitney met at Liberty University in 2009. After seven months of dating, Jordan proposed to Whitney and were later married on August 7th, 2010. Jordan is an Assistant District Attorney in Henry County (McDonough, GA) and Whitney works for the Chick-fil-A Home Office as a program lead and reside in McDonough, Georgia with their golden retriever Buddy.<br /><br />Their desire to be parents existed long before they ever met one another. God began the dreams of being called "Mom" and "Dad" throughout their upbringing and young adult lives. After enjoying two years of marriage, Jordan and Whitney were ready to begin their pursuit to become parents. After fourteen months of trying, Whitney sought out doctors to learn the cause of not being able to conceive. After twelve additional months of testing, Jordan and Whitney learned that they fell into a small percentage of couples who have "undiagnosed infertility". Seeking to overcome that diagnosis, they chose to have three IUIs (Intrauterine Insemination). Through the two and a half year wait, they sought to understand the heart of God and wrestled to accept that God was rewriting their best laid plans.<br /><br />November 4th was a date that the couple will never forget. It was a cold, sunny Tuesday and Whitney was scheduled to see a doctor to learn if endometriosis could be a cause of their struggle to get pregnant. During that appointment, her doctor told her the only way she could conceive would be through IVF. Knowing this was not a path she felt called to, Whitney was brought to her knees in the middle of a downtown Atlanta parking garage. What Whitney thought was devastating news, was actually God birthing a beautiful desire and calling to adopt. You see, Whitney was the product of adoption. After losing her mom at age 5 and being separated from her father at age 10, Whitney was left as an "orphan" and taken in by her loving aunt and uncle. Through their extension of love and adoption, Whitney was rescued from the perils of life that otherwise could have happened. Adoption has always been in Jordan and Whitney's hearts, but felt it would come after natural born children....but God had other plans.<br /><br />God gives "above and beyond all that we could ask or think". Part of "above and beyond" for Jordan and Whitney was getting to open their hearts, home, minds, and plans to adoption. All it took was one step of faith....signing papers. Just like that - Whitney conceived a baby that was growing in the womb of another mommy.<br /><br />Jordan and Whitney are preparing for baby Van Matre through the use of an adoption consultant. Using an adoption consultant will enable the couple to become parents quickly upon completion of fundraising. This page is dedicated to rallying others around this family. Baby Van Matre's Journey Home

On March 23rd, Charles Tumulak was taking part in one of his passions, obstacle races. Charles was completing the Cargo Net when he lost balance. His right foot was hooked in the net which caused his leg to catch and forced his body to turn upside down. He fell head first 15 feet to the ground below. The impact caused: a C2 fracture (broken neck), collapsed lung, facial fractures and a bruised pancreas. <br><br>At 46, Charles was the picture of health. An avid runner and crossfit buff, he had completed a dream of finishing a full marathon as well as several other obstacle races. A devoted brother and uncle, Charles was known for his positivity, enthusiasm and ability to make you laugh. <br><br>At this time, Charles is surrounded by his family who have traveled from far and wide to come together for him. The immediate goal is to get Charles stable for a transfer to Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA from McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.<br><br>Funds will be used towards Charles' immediate care, transfer to Atlanta as well as his long term care. Updates will be posted as Charles continues his journey to recovery. <br>
