<div>My name is Thushan Jayasundara, and I’m a passionate <strong>Senior Software Engineer</strong>, now living in Finland to pursue my Master’s degree in Software Engineering.

<div>With over 6 years of industry experience, I’ve worked with international companies such as Pearson and AirRetailer in the UAE, contributing to scalable backend systems, enterprise microservices, and secure cloud infrastructure using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, system design and integration, and more.

<div>My decision to study in Finland was driven by a deep desire to advance my technical expertise, adapt to the Nordic work culture, and ultimately become a Software Architect and Cybersecurity Expert, building solutions that truly make a difference.

<div><strong>Currently, I’m supporting myself through Wolt food delivery in Helsinki, working hard every day, even through harsh weather and long nights, to cover my tuition fees, rent, and daily expenses.</strong>

<div>While I remain positive and persistent, the financial burden continues to grow, especially with the <strong>tight job market in Finland and limited part-time opportunities. </strong>I’ve been fortunate to receive <strong>five interview opportunities for roles as a Senior Java Engineer and Java Developer, </strong>thanks to my experience and technical background. However, due to my student visa restriction of 30 working hours per week,<strong> I was not eligible for these positions, as the companies required full-time employees.</strong>
