 Tyrone is Sydney’s godson, and he is living with <strong>Primary Progressive MS</strong>, the most severe form of multiple sclerosis. Over the past year, the disease has progressed so quickly that Tyrone has gone from getting around with a walker to now being completely confined to a wheelchair, even at home. This has changed nearly every part of daily life for Tyrone and his family. Because they do not have a handicap van, Tyrone can no longer join his wife and children on their usual outings. What used to be simple family time has become painful and isolating, and being left behind has been emotionally devastating for Tyrone and for the people who love him most.
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
 Tyrone’s family has found a used handicap van for $30,000, and it would make an immediate difference in his life. It would give Tyrone a way to leave the house, regain some independence, and be part of family activities again. But after mounting medical expenses, this is simply out of reach for them right now. Sydney is reaching out in hopes that others will help Tyrone and his family get the van they need. <strong>Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, will make a meaningful difference and bring hope to a family that wants nothing more than to have Tyrone included in the moments that matter most.</strong>

<div>Hi, I am Alice Colby, a friend of <strong>Coco &amp; Lenora Montoya</strong>. Please join me in helping them raise money for <strong>Lenora's battle against breast cancer</strong>. All funds will go towards the exorbitant medical costs and daily expenses associated with her treatment. As many of you know, being a musician does not come with health insurance. Every payment is out of pocket. <strong>To anyone who has been touched by cancer directly or has a friend or family member facing this challenge, please donate what you can today.</strong> Lenora &amp; Coco Montoya have brought so many of us "Music Lovers" so much joy, let's show our appreciation and compassion for this kind and generous couple by donating today. Any amount helps! Thank you.

<div>Tyrone is my godson, an exceptional human, great husband and loving father. Tyrone also has the most aggressive form of MS, and he and his family are needing to immediately relocate from their second floor apartment, as he can no longer safely make it up or down the steep stairs. Tyrone has difficulty walking and balancing, and has had many falls. The doctors say it’s critical for the family relocate to a ground floor apartment before Tyrone has a devastating fall. Unfortunately, this is also during a time where medical bills are mounting. They desperately need support, and being the hard working people they are, they have not wanted to ask. He was fortunate to recently receive an electric wheelchair in which the family is so grateful for, as Tyrone has not been able to join in on family outings in the last couple years.

</div>

<div>If you have the ability to help financially with this imperative move for this lovely family they would be beyond grateful.

</div>

</div>

<div>We know financial pressures hit everyone in life. That’s why it’s so hard to ask. If you are able we’d be so grateful!

<div>Thank you for your love and support!! We hope that you and your loved ones have a happy holiday season and a wonderful new year.

<div>Aloha everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Reaching out to those who can help support my son, <strong>Eli Sandoval</strong>. He was hit by a speeding car on Wednesday, October 16th while checking his mailbox on Kalihiwai Ridge. Both of his legs were broken and his pelvic area was fractured, along with multiple cuts, scrapes, and a slight concussion.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He has gone through two major surgeries over the last two days on his legs, and he will not be able to get around independently for quite a while (miracles pending). For the time being, he will need full-time care while he recovers
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I realize many people are in need at this time and have a hard time putting a price on any request.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Mahalo to all of those who have the means. All prayers and forms of monetary currency are a blessing and appreciated.</strong>

</div>
<div>With much gratitude and heartfelt love,

Support Eli Sandoval's Road to Recovery

<div>Hello,
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>My name is Lois Clemente, and I have the honor of being Philip (Phil) Reid’s sister. If you had the privilege of knowing my brother, you would have seen a man whose loyalty knew no bounds, whose sarcasm was a language of love, and whose mischief kept us all on our toes. He was never one to gossip, always punctual, and absolutely adored his wife and kids.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Philip lived for being a father.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>But life has a way of altering our plans, and becoming a widow at 40 was never part of Sam's journey when she married my brother and joined our family. As of 72 hours ago, it has become her heartbreaking reality. We feared this moment when Philip was diagnosed with Stage 4 adenoid cystic carcinoma in 2022, but nothing could prepare us for the pain it has brought.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Philip leaves behind a wife and four beautiful children: Tripp, Gabby, and Owen, who are stepping into adulthood, and little Ted, just 9 years old, who now faces childhood without his dad. They are incredible, remarkable human beings, shaped by Philip's kindness, his patience, his laughter, and his unconditional love. We will all strive to make sure Philip's spirit continues to guide his children, especially little Ted, who will need to hold onto every precious memory of his dad.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>My heart aches the most for Sam, who has lost not just her husband but her best friend, her partner, and her biggest supporter for the past 16 years—and the one who made life a little brighter every day. Now, she must face the world as a single mother to a young child, a journey she never imagined.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>To add to this immense pain, Sam lost her job when her department was laid off, and since then, she's been Philip’s full-time caregiver, pouring every ounce of strength into his fight.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>They drove thousands of miles, pulled significantly from their savings, sold their investments, lived in Boston to take part in a clinical trial out of pocket, and put off countless home and car repairs all in an effort to cling to any chance that might keep Philip with them a little longer. But despite all their efforts, Philip took his final breath on Saturday, September 21, just moments after Sam left his side, as if to shield her from the pain of that goodbye.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Philip fought an unrelenting, ruthless disease for over two years. A cancer so rare there are no FDA-approved treatments for it. Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) claims only 1% of all head and neck cancers, and yet it took everything from Philip. And his fight was even more desperate because of the NOTCH mutation, which further decreased his chances of survival.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Today, I come to you with a simple, heartfelt plea: let's help Sam rebuild, recover from the financial hardship of this battle, and prepare her for the road ahead as a single mother. Let’s honor Philip’s memory by helping to lift the burden from his family's shoulders.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>We cannot take away their pain, but we can help ease their journey, even just a little. Any contribution you make will be a gift beyond measure, a tribute to a man who gave everything for his family.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Thank you for helping us honor Philip's life and legacy. Your kindness means more than words can say.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Sincerely,
</div>
<div>
</div>

Honor Philip by Supporting His Loving Family

<div>On August 17th, we lost our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend, and friend in a head-on car collision. This is a soul-wrenching tragedy for the Salem family. Luke and his family are so loved by their community and need unconditional support at this time. Luke is survived by his mother Mellisa, father Tommy, sister Jordan and brothers Noah and Chad.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Luke was bigger than life with an old soul. He gave his all to every passion and hobby. He loved his family, pets, playing football at Cabrillo, gardening, surfing, fishing, God, snowboarding, baseball, cooking, playing alto saxophone, his classic car, and building light sabers. He walked around with his heart on his sleeve, showing love to every person and animal around him. We are inspired by his ability to show kindness to everyone in his life and continuously give back to his community. We will never forget his contagious smile throughout Santa Cruz.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every contribution, no matter the amount, will mean a lot to the family and help with funeral costs. Additionally, if you want to show your support through cooking, please consider signing up for a meal: <a href="https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/3zkom1" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><a href="https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/3zkom1/" target="_blank" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/3zkom1/</a></a>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We will hold a memorial service in honor of Luke on Thursday, September 5th at 11am located at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, 435 Monterey Ave, Capitola, CA. All are welcome. More information to come on the paddle out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>May we go forth with love and live like Luke.

Support the Salem Family in Honoring Luke's Legacy

<div>Many of you only know Stormy Daniels through the headlines; you’ve heard her described as a porn star, witness, victim, and villain. But as her friends, we would like to introduce you to the Stormy we know. Unlike much of the rest of the world, the descriptions we use to tell others about Stormy are mother, protector, advocate, equestrian, author, filmmaker, and friend. We often put "mother" first, not because that’s all she is, but because that particular job motivates everything else she does. As our friend, Stormy has fought an epic tale of David vs. Goliath, and we are the ones she has called, texted, and sought advice from. We have had front-row seats to the parts of this story that don’t fit neatly into click-bait headlines. You have gotten "Key witness in Trump case: a porn star," whereas those of us who really know her have seen the longer-running realities, like Stormy Daniels not knowing whether or not her family will have a home come August and calling us at midnight, tears in her eyes, trying to navigate a truly unprecedented situation.

We have also watched in horror as the justice system has continually failed our friend.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>One of the most powerful men in the world has been given every concession imaginable, while the misguided harlot is thrown to the side with a “thank you for your service” muttered under the breath of the collective conscience of our nation. We know that so many of you have wanted to support her but haven’t known how. Many of you have shown up in support at events, outside the courthouses, and sent thousands of emails sharing your gratitude for the sacrifices that Stormy has made to bring about justice and expose the tyranny happening in our nation. A day will come when all will be made right, but if history has taught us anything, sometimes those who sacrificed the most never get to see that day with us.

Stormy Daniels’ fight has just begun. Since the verdict was announced on May 30, 2024, she’s received countless death threats. The New York Post doxed her by leaking her home address, and the legal battles have just begun. It’s become unsafe for her family and her pets. Her horses have been shot twice now by protesters and even mainstream media paparazzi trying to provoke her out of her home. As if that’s not bad enough, Trump is still tangling her up in lawsuits in an effort to bleed her dry financially because his cult of minions will foot the bill for him to do so.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>
<div><span> Recently, Stormy was sent discovery documents to aid in collection of the attorney fee judgment. It is standard practice to request a list of assets, accounts, property, etc. HOWEVER, the forms Stormy was given also required that she provide her minor child’s personal information including legal name, father’s address and more. This information is not only a violation of a child’s privacy but has the potential of becoming very real and immediate danger. In response to her own doxing and fearing for her daughter’s safety, Stormy declined to provide those details unless a confidentiality agreement was granted. The court denied her request and a motion to compel hearing scheduled. No mother should be forced to choose between protecting her innocent child and being held in contempt of court.</span><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It would be easy to fill this page with countless details, anecdotes, and newspaper articles, but this is a simple plea. If you are here reading this, you are likely on one of two sides of this issue: you are a gawker who is simply here to mock and ridicule, or you are here because you have been a long-time supporter of Stormy and you want to know what actionable steps you can take to make a difference. If you are the latter, we want to make that very simple for you. We aren’t publicists or lawyers, just concerned friends who want to keep someone we love safe, that’s it.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div> Stormy needs help to relocate her family to somewhere they can feel safe and live life on their terms. She needs assistance to be able to continue to pay the mounting court fees so that Trump doesn’t just win because his pocketbook seems endless. To date, Stormy has had to foot the bill for all of this, and it has depleted her resources and savings. There is currently a $600,000 judgment against Stormy for Trump’s legal fees from a case that was dismissed. This is a coded action in an attempt to make her family lose their house and face homelessness or worse. It’s paramount that we prevent this from happening! Each dollar we raise will be a validation that we also care about Stormy and are willing to continue this fight. Trump may have a mega fundraising operation to keep him from facing consequences, but that shouldn’t mean that Stormy becomes the sacrificial lamb of a corrupt system.

Despite all of these setbacks, Stormy has continued in this fight because she firmly believes in this country, its possibilities, and what we can accomplish together as a nation if we hold firm to the principles of democracy which are the bedrock of our Republic.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div> Upon the closing of the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin was asked by a woman named Elizabeth Willing Powel, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?”

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div> “A republic, if you can keep it.”

Our Republic does not stand purely on the ideals of democracy but was built upon a promise, one declared on July 4th, 1776, that all people, created equal, should have the right to “pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” If we allow Stormy, after choosing to stand up to the President of these United States, to lose her life, her liberty, or her happiness, then we have failed at the very foundational core of what this nation was built upon. Should we fail here, we fear, Doctor Franklin, that we have chosen now, some 250 years later, a monarchy.<br />

</div>

I Stand with Stormy Daniels #WeAreAllStormy

<div>This fundraiser arises from our legal defense of <strong>FRED WELLMAN</strong>, the former Executive Director of The Lincoln Project, as an example of offensive MAGA litigation warfare, as described below.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Enforcement of the rule of law is an important and valuable principle in our Democracy. Unfortunately, the law can be abused as a weapon to try and intimidate those who stand up against government corruption and misconduct.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As part of MAGA’s efforts to silence those who challenge their actions to undermine Democracy, President Trump’s former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, who in 2017 pled guilty to a felony count of “willfully and knowingly” making false statements to the FBI (and was subsequently pardoned by President Trump in 2020) has filed a defamation lawsuit against Fred in the U.S. District Court of the Middle District of Florida.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many of you know Fred, as noted above, as the former Executive Director of The Lincoln Project (an organization created to protect the American Republic from Donald Trump and those who identify (publicly or privately) as MAGA supporters) but he is also a highly decorated West Point graduate and 22-year Army combat veteran as well. Over his career in uniform, he served from the troop level to the Pentagon including combat tours in Operation Desert Storm and three deployments in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a combat helicopter pilot and spokesman. Fred retired as a Lt. Colonel and launched an award-winning veteran’s advocacy firm that was instrumental in supporting companies and nonprofits fighting everything from veteran’s homelessness to wounded warrior’s healthcare for nearly a decade until he joined the Lincoln Project, which he left in 2021.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Mark S. Zaid, PC (Washington, D.C.) is representing Fred pro bono (i.e., no legal fees are charged to him) to defend him against this intimidation effort. Our law firm has been continually and actively standing up to former President Donald J. Trump and his allies since 2017. Among others, the Zaid law firm represented the Intelligence Community whistleblower whose complaint led to President Trump’s first impeachment, several U.S. Capitol Police officials who helped defend the U.S. Capitol including the late Officer Brian Sicknick, who died in the aftermath of the attempted January 6th insurrection, and defended Olivia Troye against a defamation lawsuit brought by Trump’s former Ambassador to Germany Rick Grenell. The firm has also represented several of Trump’s former Cabinet Officers to ensure their books were published for the American people and the world to read. And the firm is currently engaged, also pro bono, to represent countless federal employees at various federal agencies, to include FBI, DOJ, CIA, DHS, FEMA and others, who are being terminated and targeted by the second Trump Administration.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This lawsuit is just one of many MAGA has been filing to silence those protecting American Democracy. The Binnall Law Group (Alexandria, Virginia), which is representing Mr. Flynn, has been repeatedly filing or defending lawsuits on behalf of the MAGA world, including for prominent public officials such as President Trump, Ambassador Grenell, former Congressman Devin Nunes and Kash Patel (now confirmed as FBI Director). The rule of law cannot be subverted by those who seek to undermine our country. Our plan is do more than just defend Fred and we will embark upon an aggressive response, to include seeking sanctions against Mr. Flynn and his attorneys, and pursue all available avenues to expose those who are financially bankrolling these litigious efforts.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Litigation of any sort becomes expensive very quickly, and this case is no different. There will be countless legal hours devoted to this effort and especially out-of-pocket costs for travel and possibly many depositions, as well as payments to local counsel. We would not be able to defend these types of lawsuits without the assistance of the public.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>Please help us fight back against MAGA by contributing even a small donation. As we are dealing with the continuing retaliatory and vindictive behavior of President Trump and his allies during this second Administration, help us use the judicial system to make a difference and preserve our Democracy.</em>
</div>

<div>RALLY FOR REGGIE B
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>You can be part of a resounding movement to RALLY for REGGIE B, a 58-year-old courageous warrior fighting a relentless rare genetic condition, Neurofibromatosis (NF). This disorder caused a 49-pound tumor on his left leg, tumors disfiguring his face, and many tumors growing on the nerves inside and outside his body. Tragically, attempts to operate on these tumors in the past have proven fatal to his family members, claiming the lives of both a beloved brother and a cherished nephew.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Reggie has weathered storms of unimaginable magnitude, facing heartbreaking setbacks and unfathomable struggles. His world was shattered when his lifelong pillar of strength and love, his mother, who he had lived with his entire life, tragically succumbed to Covid. Barely scraping by on meager social security funds, he now faces the harrowing reality of overwhelming rent payments, threatening his stability.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Reggie dreams of a life unburdened by the ceaseless anxiety, uncertainty, and fear he faces each day, a life many of us too often take for granted. Astonishingly, despite his battles, Reggie remains a beacon of unwavering optimism, pouring his heart into lifting others. Through social media, heartfelt phone calls, video chats and unwavering kindness, he brightens the lives of those hurting and is an inspiration to many. He embodies the essence of compassion and gratitude, leaving an indelible mark on all who encounter him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now the time has come for all of us to RALLY for REGGIE B using our collective power of compassion to ignite a change for Reggie. This movement is a testament to our unwavering solidarity, a resolute force spreading awareness to raise the crucial funds he desperately needs and deserves.

RALLY for REGGIE B

<div><strong>Help Navalny’s team spread the truth about war. </strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Help us defeat Putin's propaganda! We want to create an honest media to tell Russians the truth about the war in Ukraine.</strong>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Propaganda kills — in the truest sense of the word. Opening the news and looking at the pictures of ruined Ukrainian cities would be enough to realize this. The problem is that most people in Russia are denied the chance to see this news, and even if they do, they believe it to be fake.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>The sooner Russians wake up and recognize the horrific reality, the sooner the war will end. To bring it to an end and prevent further wars, we want to launch our own news media and reach out to the millions who are still unaware of what Putin is doing on their behalf.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why is this important?</strong>
</div>
<div>In recent years, Putin has been successively destroying independent Russian media and driving them out of the country. He wants no one to open Russians’ eyes to what is going on. He wants people to think they support a “special operation” to liberate Ukrainian civilians from the “Nazis”, while what they actually support is war and genocide. The moment most Russians realize what is really going on in their country, Putin’s power will end, and the war will end with it. But for that to happen, the truth must be conveyed to them. We want them to know the truth — and we are counting on your support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><a href="https://free.navalny.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">And we need your support</a>.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Who are we?</strong>
</div>
<div>We are the team behind Alexei Navalny, a Russian opposition leader and champion of democracy who has gained the status of Putin’s main enemy during his years of fighting against the criminal regime. In 2011, <a href="https://acf.international/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Navalny founded</a> the Anti-Corruption Foundation with the firm belief that corruption is at the root of most Russian and global problems. Since then, we have released hundreds of investigative reports on corrupt officials in Putin’s government, the most important of which, a film about the palace owned by Vladimir Putin himself, has amassed over 120 million views on YouTube. Releases of our most high-profile investigations were accompanied by protest rallies all across Russia.
</div><iframe media_type="0" media_id="ipAnwilMncI" class="youtube-replace" title="YouTube video player" style="margin-bottom:20px;width:560px;height:315px;" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ipAnwilMncI/?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="1"></iframe>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With each passing year, the pressure on us kept growing. Our office was regularly raided. At first, we were subjected to administrative proceedings, then criminal proceedings started. Some of our employees are now in prison, others had to emigrate to escape persecution. Our organization has been declared extremist, key staff members have been placed on a list of extremists and terrorists. Alexei Navalny survived an assassination attempt in 2020 — Putin sent <a href="https://novichok.navalny.wiki/en" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">a special FSB unit armed with chemical weapons</a> to kill Alexei (no, this is not the plot of a Bond movie!). When the attempt failed and Navalny returned to Russia, Putin jailed him on a trumped-up case. And after the war had already begun, Alexei’s prison sentence was extended by another nine and a half years. None of this, however, has made us stop our operations. This year, the Anti-Corruption Foundation went global. We set up a new organization in the US jurisdiction to fight the export of Putin's corruption abroad.
</div>
<div>During our years of transparent work, we have proven that we cannot be controlled by the Kremlin. And our main goal remains the same: to expose the truth, educate the Russian people and demand an end to political autocracy and oligarchy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What will your money go towards?</strong>
</div>
<div>We believe that we should not limit ourselves to producing investigations now — we need an honest media to bring the truth about the war and Putin’s other crimes to those people who still believe him. Preconditions for its creation already exist — our Popular Politics YouTube channel, which hosts special livestreams about the war every day, already has 1.16 million subscribers, and their number keeps growing. But this is not enough to reach everyone. So, we want to strengthen our team and create a full-fledged media outlet. We are prepared for the possibility of our platforms getting blocked, and we are considering different formats for delivering information, from websites to social network pages. But the main thing that the money will go towards is salaries for those who will work on these platforms, along with rent and equipment.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Since the war started, many people have joined us, including independent journalists who were forced to leave Russia and left without a job. Most of them are now in Europe. Your donations will enable them to do what they do best: stand up to propaganda. Your donations will give them back the opportunity to fight Putin on their own front, while the fight against him with real weapons continues in Ukraine. Every donation and every share will be your contribution to defeating evil.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>Putin considers us, Navalny’s team, his enemies. Who better to tell the whole truth about Putin and his crimes, than the people who have for years risked persecution and even death, to expose them?
</div>

<strong>AN OCEAN OF GARBAGE: THE ALL FEMALE VOYAGE TO BATTLE THE EARTH's PLASTIC CRISIS: </strong> <br /><br />"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot.  Nothing is going to get better, its simply not."  <em>The Lorax</em><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/39533840_1559577850836325_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="39533840_1559577850836325_r.jpeg" /> Plastic pollution has emerged as one of the greatest threats to ocean health.  To combat this crisis will take all of us- united together- to be a part of the solution.  It will not be easy, the obstacles are immense, but we can and we will turn this ship around, and make a difference.  To do this, I'm asking your help.   <br /><br />I’m thrilled to have been selected to join an all-women's <a href="http://exxpedition.com/rtw/">Exxpedition</a> that will help raise awareness about plastic pollution.  This voyage brings together women scientists, artists, educators, and media experts to identify ways to empower local communities, shift consumer choices, ignite a social media and awareness campaign, and raise the alarm about the enormous long-term health impacts plastic has on our bodies.  I have been asked to sail for three weeks across the Atlantic garbage patch from the Azores to the Caribbean, as a scientist and training and outreach specialist <a href="http://exxpedition.com/boat/">70-foot schooner. </a> <br /><br /><strong>HERE"S HOW YOU CAN HELP: </strong>First, I will be creating and sharing social media posts and articles along the journey.  I encourage you to amplify this messaging with your friends, family and news outlets to spread the word.   Secondly, should you choose to contribute financial support, your funds will directly go towards: <br /><br />1) Work with local organizations on ways to deal with plastic pollution, particularly targeting young women to take action and raise their voice to demand change. <br />2) Craft local education and outreach campaigns tailored to the island nations we visit to demand policies that curb plastic waste and amplify a global digital and social media campaign for women to elevate the conversation about female health. <br />3) Give talks and film screenings at local schools, conferences, universities and global companies about our findings and solutions.  <br /><br />Finally, look here to see how to <a href="https://4ocean.com/blogs/blog/15-ways-to-reduce-your-plastic-use-4ocean">do your part every single day</a> !  One step at a time, together we can make a difference.  <br /><br /><strong>WHY ME WHY NOW: I hope you join me in this </strong>lifelong passion for protecting our planet. While I love the idea of settling Mars someday, I think Earth deserves our best shot,and the ocean is in dire need of attention.<br /><br />I am absolutely honored to have been selected for this opportunity, coming at a time after much personal loss and change this past year.  I promise to work hard on your behalf, and fight the good fight.  I promise to share the good, the bad and the not so glamorous with you in images, blogs, and stories along the way, with tangible ways for you to take action and raise awareness across the globe. <br /><br /><strong>NOT SO FUN TRASH FACTS:</strong><br /><br />Everyone alive today carries within her or his body at least 700 contaminants. Wherever you live in the world you have been exposed to a cocktail of chemicals. <br /><br />In the ocean, there are 51 trillion microscopic pieces of plastic, weighing 269,000 tons- about the same as 1345 adult blue whales. That's 500 times the number of stars in our galaxy. <br /><br />By 2050 there will be more plastic in the oceans than there are fish. <br /><br />Every minute, one garbage truck of plastic is dumped into our ocean. <br /><br />Substances from plastic may also cross from a pregnant woman’s body into her fetus, potentially changing the way a baby develops. <br /><br />It's this last reason that really shook me. It reminded me of one of those dystopian films about the future! <a href="https://medicalxpress.com/news/2019-03-endocrine-disruptors-female-reproduction-multiple.html">Endocrine disruptors</a>  - hormone-altering chemicals- decrease fertility and increases development disorders during pregnancy.  We are literally threatening our very own existence. <img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/39533840_1559248714446183_r.jpeg" alt="39533840_1559248714446183_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" />
