A Major Blow to Our Vision On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, we received devastating news following an inspection by the Building Department. Due to immediate building limitations, The Folded Leaf must stop hosting any events, gatherings, or workshops with more than 10 people in attendance (including staff, performers, and artists), effective immediately. This is a massive blow to the very foundation of our business, our community-centered values, and our vision of being a vibrant hub for gathering, performance, and artistic collaboration. We are heartbroken that this core aspect of our mission has been suddenly disrupted. What This Means Now & Event Updates We are committed to continuing to serve our community, but things must change right now: We Remain Open: The good news is that The Folded Leaf will remain open as a bookshop and art gallery. Please continue to visit us to browse our curated selection of books and enjoy the current exhibition. Events are On Hold: All upcoming large events, workshops, and performances are currently on hold or cancelled. Our Immediate Focus: Finding a New Home We are pivoting all of our energy into finding a new space that is compliant and can support our full vision. We are currently pursuing several promising leads, but every option requires significant work—whether it's building out a stage, installing essential infrastructure, or making necessary renovations to meet code. The reality is, The Folded Leaf needs a new home to survive as a community venue. How You Can Support Us We cannot do this alone.
