A whole bunch of beautiful humans helping me to get this Kia carnival. Thank you so very much, I appreciate you all so much.
I am blown away! Thank you to those who have shared and donated.
We will also be looking at second hand carnivals that have the automatic features I need. A huge thanks to those who have already donated and shared
Hey everybody I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all! I’m forever grateful to all of you for helping me and my family!
Hi, I’m Tess, a mother of 3 boys from Orange NSW. I’m raising funds to purchase a $70,000+ (new) Kia Carnival that can be professionally converted to accommodate my wheelchair. Also looking at second hand vehicles with all the things I need. For me, having a suitable vehicle isn’t a luxury — it’s about independence, safety and being able to live my life and care for my family. The Kia Carnival has the space and configuration needed to be converted for wheelchair access while still allowing me to safely transport my family. The features that may appear to be “luxuries” when looking at the vehicle are actually important necessities for me. Comfort, accessibility, safety, climate control, powered features and enough room for passengers and mobility equipment all make a significant difference when a vehicle needs to accommodate a wheelchair. I don’t want a vehicle that only gets me from A to B. I need a vehicle that allows me to be part of family life — to go to appointments, do the shopping, attend family events, take my family out, and have the freedom to travel together without constantly worrying about whether my wheelchair and everyone else will fit safely and comfortably. Unfortunately, the cost of a suitable vehicle and the specialised wheelchair conversion is far beyond what I can manage on my own. That’s why I’m reaching out for help. NDIS doesn’t help with the purchase of a vehicle. Any donation, no matter how small, will help bring me closer to having safe, accessible and reliable transport for myself and my family. If you can’t donate, sharing my fundraiser would mean just as much. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for helping me work towards something that would make such a huge difference to my everyday life and my family’s life. ❤️ Thank you for your support.
