Thank you so much to all who donated or shared! Thanks to all of you , AJ had her first appointment with a neurosurgeon! He referred her to several other specialists. Each visit takes all day at the public hospital. For instance, the waitlist for a MRI is several months. AJ also has another appointment with a private neurosurgeon for Monday to get a second opinion. The good news is that the tumor is small right now, so we hope that there is time to get all the tests and consultations. We will keep you all posted! Ty!

I am fundraising for my goddaughter, A.J., also known as Arlene Joyce Soriano, who is in the Philippines and urgently needs help with medical care and basic living expenses. In August, A.J. had to go on medical leave because she was suffering from debilitating headaches, exhaustion, and panic attacks. A CT scan showed a tumor on her pituitary gland, and an MRI later confirmed it. She is now waiting for a consultation with a neurosurgeon to discuss her treatment plan, but she cannot afford that next step. The MRI alone cost more than $700 USD, and she currently has no salary coming in. This has caused significant stress and worry for A.J. and our family. She is the main source of support for her mother, grandmother, and disabled aunt. She needs the consultation right away so she can begin treatment and find out what the full cost of care will be. The funds raised will be sent to A.J. to help cover her living expenses, the neurosurgeon consultation, and the treatment that follows. Because she is unable to work right now, this is also an ongoing need.
