Hi everyone, My name is Taylor Gokey, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. Just recently, my husband and I lost everything in a devastating apartment fire. In a matter of moments, our entire home — our belongings, memories, and daily essentials — was completely destroyed. While the loss of material things is overwhelming, we are incredibly grateful that both of us made it out safely — and, by some miracle, so did all of our cats. That said, some of our cats were caught in the smoke and flames and now require urgent veterinary care. We’re doing our best to get them treated and comfortable, but the cost of emergency vet services, temporary housing, and basic needs is more than we can manage on our own right now. We are currently displaced and starting from scratch. We’ve set up this fundraiser to help cover: Emergency and follow-up vet care for our cats Temporary housing and essentials (clothing, food, toiletries) Replacing basic pet supplies, like carriers, litter boxes, and food Starting to rebuild after losing our home If you're able to donate or even just share our story, we would be deeply grateful.
