Shannon's dad was recently admitted to the hospital after becoming sick. During his stay, doctors discovered a lesion and an abscess on his lungs. They believe the abscess was caused by his bad teeth, which led to the lesion and killed a small spot in his lung. He will need a biopsy soon, but the immediate concern is preventing further damage. The doctors think that getting dentures right away is crucial to stop his teeth from causing more health problems.

 The funds raised will help cover the cost of the dentures that he has needed for a while. This dental work is essential to prevent more abscesses and protect his lungs, giving him a better chance at recovery. With your support, Shannon's dad can get the care he needs to heal and avoid future complications.

<div>Many of you know my brother Billy has spent the last two years working hard to rebuild his life. Last night, on his way home from the gym, he was hit from behind while riding his scooter.

<div>He was thrown over the handlebars, landed on his head, and injured his right arm. Thankfully, nothing is broken—but he’s been referred to an orthopedic surgeon to evaluate possible soft tissue damage. We don’t know yet if surgery will be needed.

<div>His scooter was totaled. He’ll miss work for appointments, and medical bills are adding up.
</div>

<div>Billy and his wife Ashlee have been working toward moving into a duplex or single-family home this summer, and this setback comes at a tough time.

Support Billy’s Recovery After Scooter Accident

Friends and family, this week on 02/20/2022 my dad passed away. Thank you to everyone praying for us and our family.
Dennis Cooper II was my best friend, the best dad, one of the closest persons in my life, I thought he’d be here forever. I wish I could do things different now. He was only 43, but I would like to voice to everyone to live as vicariously as he had in life. Reach out to your loved ones and let them know you love them today.

The vision for the We Feed Us Campaign embraces a shift in a food system separate from large, exploitative, capitalist corporations that negatively impact our community and our environment to one  that supports Central and Eastern Oklahoma’s BIPOC farmers. Our food distribution sites will allow us to simultaneously support BIPOC communities and fight food apartheid that is engendered by white supremacy and colonization. </span><span style="text-indent:36pt;letter-spacing:.0085px;font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap;">By working together as a community, we can build a more sustainable and sovereign food system for years to come, while growing the relationship between the food and medicine our Land provides us and our Black and Indigenous communities. </span>
