This condition has affected him his entire life, resulting in numerous doctor visits, testing, procedures, as well as the placement of a permanent internal defibrillator. He has also been unable to work or play cornhole upon direction from his heart Doctor. (Bob typically plays cornhole every single night of the week -- he is ranked 2nd in his local Penn Jersey club and 13th in PA!)

<div>His heart failure has been slowly worsening, and <strong>he has since been moved up on the heart transplant list.</strong> This means that Bob must stay in the hospital until he receives a new heart.

Mike underwent this life-saving transplant at NY Columbia Presbyterian with all of us by his side. While this is a moment of hope, the road to recovery is long and challenging.

Sisters are different flowers from the same garden. Nothing could have prepared us for what the privilege of being your sister would do. And nothing could have ever prepared us for the immense devastation we feel now that we’ve lost you. On January 26, 2018, our sister Alyssa, passed away suddenly. Not only was she our sister, but since day one we have been best friends. From tire swing fights and “Pooh sticks” at Birmingham, to late night chats and pumpkin-knapping every Halloween, we have so many memories, but it will NEVER be enough. <br />Alyssa was beautiful inside and out. She was intelligent, passionate, stubborn, big hearted, funny, kind, and she loved harder than anyone we have ever known. Losing her created a void in our hearts that will never be filled. Her wings were ready but our hearts were not. She truly is our angel and will be remembered as a symbol of love, loyalty, and respect. <br />Alyssa leaves behind a beautiful 7 year old boy, Jace, who she loved with all of her heart. She also leaves behind us, her three sisters, her two brothers, her loving parents, and an entire family who loved and only wanted the very best for her. <br />In Alyssa’s honor, we are asking for donations in place of flowers to help cover funeral costs and other expenses. Around 5:00 AM on January 3rd 2018, while everyone was asleep, a fire started in my best friend's basement and engulfed the entire house. Luckily, they all got out in time and are okay physically; however, the fire destroyed everything that my friend, her 8 year old sister, and their parents' had. The windows had to be smashed, the roof disintegrated, and all of their belongings were burned. My heart breaks for them, and we all want to help them get back on their feet. Ella is a 9 year old on a mission... from the first day she started chemo for inoperable brain tumors caused by Neurofibromatosis (NF), she has been finding ways to help others. Whether it is bringing food and supplies to the homeless, organizing volunteers to make hats and headbands for kids undergoing chemo or planning parties for folks that need a lift, she always has something up her sleeve. Ella has already raised over $32,000 for research over the past 4 years, spread awareness and inspired many to go out and perform Random Acts of Kindness all over the world. Now she is set to start a new journey and she needs your help. Ella is about to publish her first children's book and that is not all. Even with all of the challenges she faces because of her genetic disorder, she wants to go on a summer book signing tour and spread kindness all along the east coast! <br /><br />In order to make this a reality we need support raising the funds to publish the book, for travel expenses and to perform random acts of kindness and brighten the day of so many folks. We have budgeted for this in our goal but if we raise over our goal we will just be able to do even more on our tour! Some of her ideas so far are paying for meals at restaurants, handing out popcicles in cities, going to nursing homes and passing out flowers, giving toys to kids in hospitals, paying for tolls and coffees, leaving sweet notes all over, handing out water at popular running paths, buying meals for the homeless and so much more!<br /><br />Ella is just a ray of sunshine and an inspiration to so many. My 83-year-old uncle, Henry, affectionately known as Uncle Hanky, who is currently in the Philippines, was involved in a serious accident yesterday. He is currently hospitalized in critical but stable condition. He is intubated, with a broken leg, broken eye orbitals, and many lacerations on his arms, legs, and face. Once he is out of critical condition, he faces surgery to place titanium rods in his leg so he will be able to walk again. <strong>Hospital bills are already getting high and exceeding what he will be able to afford.</strong>
