My name is Tanisha, and I recently moved to Charlotte, NC with my kids. After my mom asked us to leave, we had no choice but to start over in a new city. For the past 13 years, I have been raising my children on my own, without any help from their father. It hasn't been easy, and my income barely covers our basic needs. Despite these challenges, I have always tried to help others whenever I could, but now I find myself in a position where I need help more than ever.

 We are starting from scratch and don't have the essentials that make a house feel like a home. We need beds to sleep on, a living room set, kitchen chairs, and other basic furniture. Having these things would mean so much to my kids and me, giving us a safe and comfortable place to live as we adjust to our new life in Charlotte.
