I was simply doing my job that day going door-to-door to hand out information about neighborhood utility upgrades that people had already been notified about in the mail. I wasn’t selling anything, just leaving information like I always do. After working in the area for about an hour, I knocked on one more door. I never imagined I would be threatened and attacked with hate just for doing my job. <div>My husband Antwain Johnson was shot 6 times at his job in front of me and his 3 children on 4/30/2025 by an ex coworker, someone who hated him and he didnt even know it, and that is even hard to type because he is always happy, telling jokes, and helping any and everyone that may need it. He has a heart of gold and for someone to want to try to take his life is nothing more than a hateful evil spirit. We have 5 children and he was the sole provider, my husband was a hard worker, always on the go, never asked for handouts, a true hard working man, whom loves his family dearly that he was willing to sacrifice his self to protect me. He has to have multiple surgeries, his l3 and l4 vertebrae is fractured and he will need a plate in his wrist. The doctor has informed me that he will need rehab/physical therapy. <div>Our dear friend, teacher, practitioner and nurturer of Life, Kim Lincoln, needs our support after a harrowing car accident while traveling north through California towards Olympia at the end of July. While napping at a highway roadside stop after a long drive,   she was struck by a truck. The truck was swerving to avoid a semi which had lost control on the highway.  The truck was then hit by that semi, propelling it into her parked car.  The tremendous impact totalled both vehicles, leaving Kim with multiple injuries, including a severe concussion and hematoma.

<div>Currently, she is in California, where the accident occurred and is with a dear friend and incredibly skilled practitioner. When she has stabilized enough to travel, she will make her way home to Tucson with her son.

<div>Kim had planned to spend August teaching, doing sessions and being with her Olympia community she cherishes. Even in the midst of all of this, she has expressed that she is incredibly disappointed to miss this time together and sends her love.

Support Yohann's Journey to a New Home

<div>Hi, I’m Evelyn, I’m facing the biggest challenge of my life and am humbly searching for support. I’ve been diagnosed with Aggressive Invasive Cancer (Triple-Negative Breast Cancer) and have a difficult treatment and recovery ahead of me. The generous donations will go towards covering some of the additional living costs, for better treatment, and comfort during my cancer journey.

<div>One of the big challenges ahead for me is that I live in rural Australia and have had to leave my beloved country home to move into town for the duration of my treatment. My local hospital in town has great Oncology and Surgery units but doesn’t have a Radiation Therapy unit. The nearest hospital with this is a further 400 km away. A private cancer centre in town does perform radiotherapy, but it must be paid for upfront. After radiation and ongoing relocation costs, any surplus money would go towards complimentary therapies (oncology massage, acupuncture, etc.), a comfortable wig, and chemotherapy suitable cosmetics.

<div>Most people know my passion for sewing, and if it were possible, I would also set up a workable sewing space for my long-term recovery where I love to be, in my country home.

<div>In January I felt a small lump in my left breast while showering. I realised the importance to check the lump as my grandmother had died from breast cancer when I was a teenager. I booked an appointment with my GP to have it examined. I was feeling trepidation about it, but I honestly didn’t really believe it would be anything serious – I was too young and I’ve never had health issues before.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Even though I have a very public profile, I enjoy solitude and privacy. I actually live in a little cabin, high in the mountains of Clarke Range. Just after discovering the lump, a monsoonal storm began and landslides blocked the only road up the range – the road was closed for 2 weeks, we were isolated and so I had to reschedule my appointment.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When the road into town was finally open, I went to see the doctor the next day. They examined the lump and sent me to have a mammogram. While at the screening centre, they saw the lump and immediately followed it with an ultrasound test. The results indicated a lesion with microcalcifications and directed the doctor to request a core biopsy. I had the biopsy performed the very next day. I mostly assumed, partly hoped, this was all just precaution.
</div>

</div>
<div>A couple days later the results were sent to the doctor, so I came in for an appointment. The biopsy summary was Invasive Carcinoma, both hormone receptors negative and HER2 negative. I was horrified. He told me this type was called Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) and it’s the “bad one”. The world closed in around me. Although I was in shock and utter disbelief, I couldn’t stop sobbing as it was explained. TNBC is very aggressive, difficult to treat, has a high recurrence rate, and tends to spread (metastasis) quickly to lymph nodes, lungs, heart, and brain. Prognoses aren’t good for this type of cancer. I was told without treatment I might have 12 months. Words can’t describe my grief in that moment, I couldn’t believe this was real, it felt like a dream and I was waiting to wake up, my distress was beyond measure.
</div>

</div>
<div>Reflecting now, my doctor handled a difficult conversation well, it was hard news to give. He instructed me I needed immediate treatment, transferred me over to the Base Hospital and ordered a full-body CT scan. I felt detached from reality, like none of it was really happening and I was still in that dream.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I had one day to return home and collect belongings. Unfortunately, home is too far away from town to travel for medical services (100km drive on a road that was still only open for 3 time slots a day). I love my country home and I was heartbroken leaving my peaceful sanctuary not knowing when I would next return. I’ve now taken long-term temporary accommodation in the town of Mackay for outpatient services and can call an ambulance if there’s an emergency between treatments.
</div>

</div>
<div>At this point everything seemed to be happen so fast. The CT scan was done. I was triaged as category 1. A specialist Multi-disciplinary Team was formed to oversee treatment. I had lots of blood tests, an echocardiogram, and the cancer was imaged with a PET scan. Samples for genetic testing were taken (given for breast cancer patients under 40 years). There was also an operation to put a small metal tissue marker inside the tumour. An initial treatment plan was determined for me by the specialist team involving Chemotherapy, Surgeries, and Radiation Therapy.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thankfully I detected the cancer early. The PET scan didn’t show tumours formed in other parts of my body yet! This was the greatest relief as it greatly improves the treatment outcomes for me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve now begun the first stage of treatment. A five-month program of Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy. The oncologist chose a method called Dose-Dense Chemotherapy, which is an aggressive approach of high doses administered quickly. I receive two different chemo medicines each fortnightly session for the first two months, then three more chemo medicines in weekly sessions for a further three months. There are also two different types of white blood cell booster injections and steroids I need so my body can recover enough between chemo sessions.
</div>

</div>
<div>One of the drugs they started me on is nicknamed the ‘Red Devil’. It can cause heart failure, so I get monitoring (echocardiograms and electrocardiograms) for this and other blood effects. It’s very toxic, and it makes me cytotoxic to other people while it’s in my body. It also kills the immune system, I’m immunocompromised while having chemotherapy. If I get an infection my body won’t be able to heal me so I have to immediately go to the hospital’s emergency department. And this ‘red devil’ is the one that likes to make your hair fall out.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>There’s a review scheduled three months into my chemotherapy treatment where they do extra tests to evaluate the cancer’s response. After five months I receive another batch of testing and the treatment team decide the next phase… currently, this looks likely to be surgeries, then daily radiation for two months.
</div>

</div>
<div>This is the hardest challenge of my life, one I couldn’t get through without support. I’m grateful to the doctors and nurses I’ve had from surgery, cardiology, and oncology units, they’ve been really helpful, kind, and have made this slightly less terrifying. Also, huge heartfelt thank you to the friends looking after our home and caring for the animals while I undergo treatment. Eternal gratitude and love to my partner and family assisting and caring for me. Blessings to all the friends who have offered support to me, you can’t imagine how much reassurance and encouragement this gives me for the daunting journey I have ahead.

<div><strong>We are heartbroken and reeling from the death of Bobby “Hobz” Fleeks.<br /><br />Now we are asking his friends and family, the people who knew and loved him, as well as those who are just learning about him here, to help with the expenses of laying him to rest and supporting his beloved children as they learn to live with their Father’s absence.<br /> <br />Michelle needs our help to get past this challenging moment and guide her family through their grief. We are raising money to cover funeral costs and to help support Bobby’s children in their future education and athletic programs, which we know would be his greatest concern and top priority right now.<br /> <br />Robert M. Fleeks Sr, known as Bobby or “Hobz” to his closest friends and family, was born and raised in Seattle’s Central District, or the “CD”, by his grandparents and belonged to the Mt. Zion congregation. Bobby attended St. Therese elementary school, Eckstein Middle School and Garfield High School. He played sports as a youth and loved to watch boxing. However, baseball was his “real sport" and he was good enough to receive a college scholarship in San Francisco. He was known as a talented rapper ever since his elementary school days and had aspirations of making a career in the music industry. He will best be remembered for his generosity, sense of humor, contagious laugh, and great personality. Bobby was preceded in death by his grandma &amp; grandpa, father, and aunt. He is survived by his two sons (Robert Jr. &amp; Romaree), his two younger sisters, Juliette &amp; Phoebe, and Michelle, the mother of his children and close friend. Robert also leaves to mourn countless close friends and family members from here to the east coast.<br /> <br />Bobby was a loyal friend, loving son and brother, but above all, he was a dedicated father and co-parent who held many close relationships with so many people throughout his life. Bobby was the biggest fan of his sons, Robert Jr. (22 years old) and Romaree (14 years old), with Michelle. He supported their dreams and ambitions with every fiber of his being…he never missed a football game or a chance to throw the baseball at Powell Barnett. And while not his biological child, he also loved Royalty (10 years old) as if she were “his own”, making sure she felt loved, included and supported after the passing of her father.<br /> <br />Bobby exhibited great morals, a tremendous work ethic and strong character, which his grandparents instilled and he modeled for his children at every opportunity, always wanting to be sure they knew how to take care of themselves. In addition, Bobby was always a protector of the people he loved; he was someone everyone could count on when needed. As we all have our own<br />troubles and triumphs throughout life, Bobby was known to stand tall during his troubling times and remained humble in times of prosperity. He will be missed beyond measure.<br /> <br />Michelle and Bobby’s family are incredibly grateful for any donation you can make…in Bobby’s name and memory. </strong>

Help lay Bobby Fleeks to rest & support his boys

<strong>BAZZOOKA</strong> is a visual document of the black experience in 2022, made by a BIPOC artist to hire BIPOC artists. it's a web series that finds Eva Walker's Gab from <strong>Kill me to death</strong> (<a href="https://watch.revry.tv/details/32221" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">streaming on REVRY</a> ) return to a war-torn Seattle following the death of Danny Deniall's Black and team-up with a new band of black anarchists to take back their city.<br /><br />The mission of this project is to <strong>EMPLOY</strong> and <strong>ELEVATE</strong> black creatives in Seattle, both in front of + behind the camera. How expansive this project can be comes down to budget, and $3,000 is the minimum we would need to get it off the ground. Times are tough for us, especially as the wave of #BlackLivesMatter support for black artists has come and gone-- I'm making <strong>BAZZOOKA</strong> to be something that pays us for our work and showcases our art. This means casting artists of color, staffing crew members of color + featuring an all-black soundtrack.<br /><br />Due to current safety concerns, production will have to navigate certain limitations. The series was written with these in mind. The plan is to shoot certain sequences remotely and employ green screen studios as our first avenues, to complete a substantial part of the series, before *hopefully* being able to shoot more traditionally in 2021. BAZZOOKA: An afropunk apocalyptic web series

<p>Ryan Georg (guitarist and vocals of metal band Saint Helen) was attacked after a show in Seattle. He was beaten with a bat and suffered serious injuries to his face and skull. He is in the hospital, will survive but recovery is going to take some time.

<p>His breathing tube has been removed, and he is able to breath on his own and is now awake. He is trying to fully regain his motor skills but that will take some time as well.
</p>

<p>Ryan was in 1/14th Calvary squadron. 2nd Infinity division of the United States Army. Deployed to Iraq for a one tour.  He served our country for a total of 4 years, and received an honorable discharge.

<p>His fiance Cherry Cash (bassist of Saint Helen) has a 13 year old son, Bear and live in Olympia WA. Ryan is a loving and devoted step father.
</p>

<p>His passion is heavy metal. He has loved sharing his light by living his dream playing in Saint Helen, which is his brain child. He wants to touch someone’s life through his music, like the bands who influenced him did while he was growing up.

GoFundMe will advise the Foundation and support both ongoing fundraising and distribution of proceeds to victims and their families. <br /><br />In consultation with the National Center, the Foundation will form the steering committee that includes local leaders, and victim representatives to ensure that the voices of the victims are heard, as they are integral to the distribution process. Experts with experience in mass crime victim compensation and the needs of crime victims will also be asked to serve in a volunteer capacity. <div>The Boles family says, “please say a prayer for us.”  On Dec. 16th, in the middle of the night (2am), we were woken up and evacuated out of home. We have not been able to return due to extensive water damage.  Our HVAC system took on too much water and now the water is contaminated.  Our insurance carrier has denied our claim on the basis that our policy does not cover flooding caused by a levee breech or river overflowing. We have been on the news, but one cannot feel the pain and anguish from a picture.
