Hello everyone, I would like to first thank you for taking the time to read my story. I’m raising funds for my friend who is a single Mother that is struggling to repair an emergency plumbing leak. Two weeks ago, on November 3rd, a 20 foot copper pipe burst in her basement. The Insurance company has denied the claim and the cost of the repairs to fix the entire plumbing issue is $2200. They are unable to use the dishwasher, which has left them no choice but to wash their dishes in buckets, they cannot use their washing machine, and the water is backing up into their bathtubs. In order for them to take a shower they have to put buckets down in the basement to catch the water. The plumber has stated he needs to replace the cast iron pipes and reroute the plumbing to three areas in their home. The water damage has destroyed their basement which is also her daughter‘s bedroom. They have lost irreplaceable family heirlooms, half of her daughter‘s clothes, her daughter’s college textbooks, and all of her daughter’s bedroom furniture. There is damage to the walls, the flooring, and the ceiling. This is an awful situation that has affected my friend and her family. Any money donated will go directly to the repairs for the plumbing and damage done to their home. Any amount you are willing to contribute is greatly appreciated.
