I know there are many worthy causes on this site, but I am trying to help prevent the MURDER OF A SOUL. I am reaching out for help with legal expenses for my grandson. Our family has already secured an attorney but we will also need a Family Law attorney which is more than our family can handle. He has been married for only a short time and had to quit his job and move to another state to follow his wife and daughter. The marriage is not a good one, but he has stayed because he promised his daughter when she was born that he would always love and protect her. According to my grandson, after the move their relationship became increasingly difficult. He said he was the victim of unexpected anger, frequent arguments and emotional strain. He says he has felt so isolated far from his friends, family, and support system, and his primary focus became just being there for his little girl. During another argument , my grandson and his wife agreed to be in separate rooms until emotions calmed down. Unknown to him law enforcement was called. They said someone had to leave. He fully cooperated and said that he would go instead so his wife could stay with the baby. He took the high road rather than his spouse, as one or the other had to leave. He did not realize that he had to go to jail. There is so much I could add here but we cannot share them publicly as it is an ongoing case. The facts surrounding the incident are being disputed and remain before the court, and we are confident that the evidence will speak for itself , so we will respect the legal process . He is currently unable to be with his daughter while these proceedings continue. My grandson is devastated. She is his whole world. Her face lights up whenever he is around. He cherished every opportunity to hold her, play with her, and care for her . He was constantly sharing his moments with her to family and friends . She is still a baby. He is struggling with knowing that she doesn't understand why her daddy isn't there and missing the milestones and time that he cannot get back. We all know how cruel. sad, and so unfair situations like this can be and how many children grow up not knowing their other parent through no fault of their own. We also know that having both parents is so important to the child. We need help to fund the legal process to ensure that she will have her daddy's presence now and in the future. This is where I am hoping for that miracle . All the funds raised here will go toward the additional attorney and legal expense needed for the custody proceedings so that my grandson has the opportunity to protect his rights as a father. The spouse has unlimited access through family to hire attorneys while we do not . Even the smallest donations will help and our family is extremely grateful.
