She is disabled and her father turned towards criminal behavior so I took her in . More than anything I just want to help her seek legal help but its been difficult to afford .

<div>When I was a child, I was raised in a house by a loving mother. However, I rarely saw her due to the many physical ailments and chronic pain that kept her from being around us most of the time. Like all children, I simply wanted to be included by the older family members—but instead, I was consistently excluded and made to feel inferior in every possible way. My mother’s own sister even claimed me and my sibling on her income tax for years, stealing from my disabled mother.

<div>After years of living around people who made every waking moment of my childhood a miserable existence, I often reflect and wonder who I might have become if I hadn’t let that anger and hate I was raised take over my life. If only I had understood how to process that kind of grief at such a young age. My experiences at home made me withdrawn and hostile at school, which ultimately led me to drop out and never complete my education.

<div>Now, in a very different place in my life, I’ve found inspiration to become a chef and to open my own food truck with my mothers recipes . At the same time, I am caring for her as she recovers from the trauma of living among people who attacked us, stole from us, and deliberately slandered us for years.

<div>Even as I write this, the slander continues—so persistently that even some of our own relatives have begun to believe it, as they still respect the man they believed my grandfather was.
</div>
<div>Even though all of this is true, I have still made the effort to move forward with my life. And yet, as I work to build a better future, the same painful circumstances continue to resurface. However, I am not writing this statement to dwell on the hate that has been shown to me and my family over the years.
</div>
<div>Today, I write this statement in pursuit of justice—for the countless animals whose lives have been lost at the hands of a family of predators who profit from forcing animals to fight to the death. One individual generates enough income annually to continue breeding and raising roosters specifically for fighting. But it goes beyond the roosters. I also want to bring attention to the dogs and cats that have been killed—either because they attacked a rooster or were deemed “unworthy” animals in their eyes.
