<div>Today September 26th was my 5th day in the pool.  It was more crowded than previous times I have swum and had to share a lane for part of my swim.  Not a big deal kind of reminded me of swim practices of the past, but the gal next to me was a quicker swimmer.  Any way I swam 74 laps today so got an extra 50... I added up my laps and they totaled 356 = 8900 meters = 5.5 miles which makes me happy! WOO HOO FIVE MILES DOWN NONE LEFT FOR THIS CHALLENGE!   A BIG thank you to all my friends and family that have supported me along this journey.  My hope is to keep swimming!

<div>Today September 20th was my 4th day in the pool. I was the only one in the pool for most of my laps today which is a little weird because I am self conscious of how I swim and I think the life guard only has me to watch, but of course I survived. The reality is no one cares so I shouldn't either. I think I improved my time a little bit because my watch said I swam 1800m in 44:06 and last week it was 1750m in 44:23 in either case I felt good today! I have 4 miles down with 1 mile to go thank you again to all my supports for keeping me motivated to get in the pool every week.

<div>Today September 13th was my 3rd day in the pool. I can feel myself getting better with each time I go. Today all the stars aligned and I remembered my water, got my watch set, got my contacts situated and improved my time. All the lanes were full today and I was trying to keep up with the guy in the lane next to me. I didn't succeed, but I did swim continually and didn't use a kick board this time. This has been a fun challenge so far glad I started it and happy I am able to help the American Cancer Society earn a little money for a great cause! I appreciate all my supporters so much! Three miles down two miles to go......THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

<div>Today September 7th was my 2nd day in the pool. I felt so much better with my swim today so I am hopeful that with each time I go I will get better and better. I swam 72 laps again and was able to get my Garmin watch to track this time, but it only registered 1500m which is just shy of a mile. I did use the kick board for about 12 of the laps so I am thinking the watch doesn't count those because my arms aren't moving? Anyway I really enjoyed getting back in the water and I am glad I have this challenge for a great cause to keep me going back! Todays swim was 72 laps in 45:30 minutes so I am getting quicker. 2 miles down 3 miles to go!

<div>Today September 2nd was my first day in the pool. My goal was to swim 1 hour or 70 laps whichever came first. I ended up swimming 72 laps in about 50 minutes. It was great to get back in the pool, but I'm not gonna lie it was tough. My plan was to track my progress on my Garmin, but alas my plan failed. I had to wear my contacts so I could use my goggles and I couldn't see close up on my watch to pick the right activity. It's all a learning curve for sure. Anyway 1 mile down 4 to go!
