"I am writing this with a shaking hand because time has officially run out for my daughter, Sierra. Sierra is literally any day away from giving birth to her fifth child. While most expectant mothers are packing hospital bags and nesting, Sierra is staring at a court order that says she and her four young children must be out on the street by July 6th. How did this happen to a hardworking mother? Sierra isn’t someone who looks for handouts. She was a professional CRM (Customer Relationship Manager), building a career and providing for her family. But when she became pregnant, she was unjustly let go from her job. In an instant, her stability was stripped away simply because she was bringing new life into this world. She has fought so hard to fix this. She even managed to get approved for a new home—a fresh start for her and her five babies—but because of her job loss, they are requiring a 45% down payment ($50,000) to move in. Between the court-ordered payments to stay the eviction and this massive down payment, she is facing a mountain no person—let alone a woman in her ninth month of pregnancy—should have to climb alone. The Reality of July 6th: The clock is ticking. If we don’t raise these funds immediately: Sierra could be forced to go through labor while being evicted. She will have no safe place to bring her newborn baby home to next week.
