He worked hard to provide for his family and was known for his love, dedication, and unwavering commitment to those he cherished. Zakiera was a loving and nurturing mother who devoted her life to raising her beautiful children with compassion, strength, and unconditional love.

<div>On July 2, their lives were tragically cut short when they were killed by an alleged drunk driver on I-75 while returning home from a day of taking their children on a swimming outing. What should have been a day filled with family fun and cherished memories ended in an unimaginable tragedy that has forever changed the lives of everyone who loved them.

<div>My cousin is working to rebuild her life after a recent domestic violence incident that changed everything for her and her three children. Because of the situation, she has been told she must leave her home by Christmas Eve. She is now trying to secure a safe and stable place to live before the holidays arrive.

<div>Right after the incident, her car also broke down. The repair costs are $1,500, and without a working car she cannot get to work, search for housing, or take care of her daily responsibilities.

Facing the possibility of losing her home and being without a car during the holiday season means her focus has to be on survival, not Christmas. She simply wants to make sure her children have a roof over their heads and a way for her to get to work so she can continue providing for them.

After more than 10 years of dormancy, we revived this club completely student-led and student-funded. <div>Today marks 3 months since Mom's surgery.
</div>
<div>I have such mixed emotions writing this update. Mom has physically made some huge improvements, however her pain is still constant and horrific. Thankfully she is now able to feel and move her feet well enough to walk SHORT distances with her walker!  This is a miracle in itself!  We still have not taken her out of the house yet, and are still waiting for her custom wheelchair to arrive. She has a very hard time sitting in this wheelchair for too long as it hurts too much. She is still on the IV PICC line antibiotics 3x a day hopefully only for another week! Her incision is almost completely healed and we shouldn't need to keep changing the dressing every other day after this week also!  She moves from her bed to the recliner and just uses the wheel chair to get around the house mostly. Just yesterday she walked from her bed to the recliner with the Walker and my dad following behind her with the wheelchair!  We are still hoping and praying that one day she will not need to use the walker at all!  Please continue to pray for her CONSTANT pain to subside and for her continued strength! They say the most progress for this recovery happens between 3-6 months, so we are praying for big improvements January, February and March!

God knows what they are, and they don't need to be shared with the world, but if you could pray for a few unspoken requests on Behalf of my mom's recovery, we would certainly appreciate it! ♥️ Oma is still here, staying until mid February now. This has been amazing to have this time with her and mom together ♥️ we are so grateful for all the "blessings" we have gotten out of this tragic accident. We are making sure to count them every day! </div>
<div>Mom is coming home tomorrow!!!! She's coming home on her dad's birthday ♥️ Mom and dad are moving in with Kayla, her family, and oma for the winter! We are very excited for her to come home, but there are many obstacles and things to figure out before tomorrow. Please continue to pray for strength, wisdom, and clarity for this transition. ♥️ Mom is still not walking yet, but she is working hard in physical therapy. She has been making HUGE mini improvements. (That's the best way I can describe it) Physical therapy is able to help her stand up and take small steps. She is getting great at transferring from her wheelchair to the bed and car on her own. She's working hard to build up her strength so she can walk again on her own! She still has a PICC line in until mid January for her infection. We will be getting some nursing help at home for the foreseeable future. Thank you all for your love and support!! Hopefully once she's all settled in, she will be up for a visitors after the holidays ♥️

<div>It's been a VERY busy week!! We believe mom is finally on the upswing! Having her entire family visit all week has made a huge difference! FAMILY really is the best medicine!! Rehab was able to take out her wound vac today, so no more tube in her back ♥️ she is gaining a little more strength each day and making improvements Grandma had decided to stay and move in with Kayla until mid January so she can be here when Mom moves in after rehab♥️ we are hoping and praying that Mom will be home for Christmas but we also want her to get as much rehab as she can! There are little improvements each day! For the first time ever, today she wheeled down to therapy without ANY cords/Iv's attached to her ♥️♥️ she still has a long way to go, but we are very hopeful mom is only moving forward from here on out!! ♥️♥️

<div>Mom got transferred back to RIM in Detroit last night! ♥️Hopefully we can start the process of healing without any backward steps! Mom is still in a lot of pain unfortunately. She still has a wound vac and a PICC line until mid january, a small amount of fluid around her lungs, and her oxygen isn't fully back to normal yet. But she is working hard! They are getting her up with physical therapy and she was able to take a few steps today WITH assistance. Her 91 year old Mom and her brother from vermont made it to Michigan this week to see here♥️ Krista and Karie's families came to town this week as well. We are all taking turns spending as much time as we can with Mom since she won't be home for Thanksgiving. We appreciate the continued prayers♥️♥️ hopefully mom will be back home and moved in with us before Christmas!

<div>The last couple days were probably some of the worst for Mom in pain. However today we are hoping she has turned a corner!!! She is still at the hospital, but she was accepted back to RIM in Detroit again today! So we are waiting for insurance and hopefully she will get back to the rehab tomorrow or Monday, but hopefully tomorrow!! She has a wound vac in for a while and a picc line for IV antibiotics for 8 weeks. We are praying that the worst is behind us and the REAL healing can begin!!! Thank you all for your continued support, cards, messages, food, and prayers! This has been the most difficult thing our mom AND family has ever been through.

<div>Mom's culture from her infection came back. She had an active growing Staph infection. They say she will have a PICC line of IV antibiotics in for 6-8 weeks, On top of the wound vac they put in with a drain tube for 5-6 months. She is in SO much pain and misery! This morning she woke up and felt short of breath. They are doing an x Ray of her stomach and chest. We are hoping this stomach pain can subside!

<div>We're are back at the hospital. Been in the ER yesterday. They still don't have a room for her yet The wash out surgery is scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) at 12:30. She is still in constant severe pain but we are trying to make her as comfortable as we can here in the ER. Please pray she gets moved to a ROOM asap!!! And pray this surgery tomorrow is quick and simple and removes this infection from her body completely!!!

<div>Today has been a rollercoaster of emotion, frustration, and disappointment. Mom's infection in her incision is not getting better, it's gotten worse. She's been on antibiotics for 7 days and it's not doing enough. She's been transferred from RIM back to the hospital they are planning to open her incision again and wash it out to clean the infection. Please pray they can get this infection under control without having to do another surgery. She has endured more than anyone should these last 40 days!!

<div>The IV antibiotics are working very very well and my mom's infection is looking so much better! Her pain in her back has been a lot better with the antibiotics as well. Yesterday she did the full physical therapy and occupational therapy and they are working hard on teaching her how to transfer to and from the car from the chair. For the last week, it feels like it's been a a backwards slide everyday.... but we are hopeful that we are turning a corner!! We are working on plans for after rehab because this is a short-term facility. They will only keep her another week or two. Please continue to pray for wisdom, direction and answers! ♥️♥️

<div>SO much is happening today! Some good some not It's overwhelming!

<div>Mom was able to Do Physical therapy today and stand up with the parallel bars 4x!! This was HUGE and great success!!!! However, every time they get her out of bed right now , her blood pressure drops .. but we are working through it. She feels the best when she is OUT of the bed, but it's very hard to get her out and she can't stay up for too long yet.

<div>She has had issues with her incision for 2 days now and she needs her sutures out. she has to be transported back to the doctora office to get them taken out and then back to RIM again by ambulance. She is so overwhelmed and upset as this is a TON to deal with in one day, very exhausting , and painful! Please pray she does NOT have an infection!!

<div>The last few days have been the absolute hardest so far Sorry if you tried to reach out to any of us. Mom has been in SOO much pain EVERYWHERE, but now also in her stomach. Since they had the foley in for 28 days at the hospital, her bladder/bowels are neurogenic. This is very scary, and VERY painful. She did get a good PT session in yesterday, but because she hasn't used ANY muscle in her legs for over 30 days, it brought on all sorts of "new" pain and different pain ON TOP of her horrible pain she was already having. There are no words to describe how horrific it is to watch our mom suffer in TEARS of pain for 32 days straight, but these last 48 have been the hardest by far. She is physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted!

<div>There are SOOO many people mom wants to say thank you to♥️Please know that all of your texts, messages, or cards eventually DO get read (even if they are not responded to) we are just trying to take it day by day, but honestly it feels like hour by hour right now. Please continue to pray for strength and healing of her nerves so she can get rid of this pain and regain some movement and feeling back of her own she is asking for NO visitors right now until further notice I will update when she is ready for visitors. <div>Mom is still recovering from her second surgery. her pain is being managed well. The surgery Monday did not immediately relieve the new weakness in her right leg like we hoped and She is still unable to move either feet. We are hoping to get her moved to the in-patient rehab early next week. Today is incredibly hard on ALL of us. Last night Mom's Dad went home to heaven. He has been a HUGE pillar in our family for 95 years and is already missed beyond belief. Please keep our ENTIRE family in your prayers.

<div>Mom is out of surgery. She is in a LOT of pain again. It feels like we are starting all over again They were able to remove the fluid on her spine and fix the screw that was out of place. <div>On Friday, October 3rd, our mom underwent an intense spinal fusion surgery. During the procedure, there were unexpected complications, and she lost signal to the nerves in her legs and feet. Unfortunately, that signal did not fully return.

<div>When she woke up from surgery, she could move her legs a little, but could not feel or move her feet. This has been a heartbreaking and frightening experience for her and for our entire family.
</div>

<div>She has already been in the hospital for 11 days and is now facing a very long and uncertain road to recovery. <strong>Hopefully, next week she will be transferred to an extended intensive inpatient rehabilitation hospital 2 hours away from her home.</strong> Once she is able to come home, specialized equipment, home modifications, and continued medical care will be needed for an uncertain amount of time. We are doing everything we can to support her, but the costs are overwhelming.

<div>On the early morning of July 8th, <strong>Kamilya Wilison and Shawn Maddened experienced one of their worst nightmares</strong> after Sivan, the child they shared and loved dearly, was taken away from them unexpectedly. Sivan was only 17 years old. Sivan did not have life insurance. His parents are devastated by these events and are asking the community for help in order to lay their son to rest.

Donations Needed

<div>It's been a very rough and scary month.
</div>
<div>Travis had been having some pretty concerning sinus issues for a while and I sent him to the ER to get some stuff checked out back in the first week of October. They did a CT scan and found a large mass that was growing in his maxillary sinus, and growing through the jaw bone, his mouth, and the orbital bone below his eye.
</div>
<div>Within the next week, he was admitted to beaumont hospital and had the first surgery (where they removed as much as they could by going in through his nose). They could not get the parts of the tumor that have invaded the bones in that surgery.
</div>
<div>Pathology reports came back as spindle cell angiosarcoma (a very aggressive and rare form of cancer). The beaumont doctor referred him to Karmanos, where we met the 2 surgeons who plan to save his life next month in December. The next surgery will be a big one. They are going to remove the top right half of his jaw and rebuild it with bone, artery, and tissue from his leg. And they are going to remove the orbital bone and replace it with a titanium plate. (Without doing the surgery, it will spread to his eye and his brain within a year). 
</div>
<div>Travis will then be in the hospital for weeks recovering with a trachea tube and feeding tube, and then will be down for a few months after he comes home, and will be going through chemo and radiation. <div>Todd is suffering from Legionnaires disease which in short, is a very severe form of pneumonia. This disease comes from inhalation of a certain bacteria found in water &amp;/or soil. We do not know specifically what caused this yet but do know that it is typically found in water systems such as AC units and such. According to the Mayo clinic "The bacterium Legionella pneumophila is responsible for most cases of Legionnaires' disease. Outdoors, legionella bacteria survive in soil and water, but rarely cause infections. However, legionella bacteria can multiply in water systems made by humans, such as air conditioners.

<div>Although it's possible to get Legionnaires' disease from home plumbing, most outbreaks have occurred in large buildings, perhaps because complex systems allow the bacteria to grow and spread more easily. <div>Todd has been in critical condition since December 11th when he was admitted, and he is still fighting for his life. His wife Yvette and kids Kerri, Ricky, Abbi, Grace, Tyler, his mother, and the rest of the family are incredibly strong and by his side every step of the way. This disease caused him organ failure and infected lungs full of fluid. The prognosis was not promising for survival and It came to the point where ECMO was something being considered, as well as lung transplant. His oxygen levels were deathly low, his kidneys were failing, and It is a miracle that he is still with us, Praise God! Their son is currently active duty in the Army and has been contacted to come and be with his father and loved ones.

<div>As of today, Dec. 21 2021, Todd's condition is making progress in the right direction! His lungs are clearing out, oxygen levels are up, his kidneys are starting to function again, and he's being weaned off the ventilator and sedation. He will be sent to the Long Term care facility in Katy Texas for continued care required to recover and rehabilitate from this. It will be a long road ahead but he is strong and so is his wife, family, and team beside him. On top of this, they are facing some financial issues with him unexpectedly being out of work. The long term extent of his injuries from this disease are not fully known yet so we cannot definitively say how long until he will be back to work, or if he will at all. That is something we will deal with as time progresses.

<div>This fundraiser is put together in hopes of bringing relief to this amazing family. As you can imagine, with unexpected situations there are unexpected costs which will coincide with falling behind on necessary expenses. The last thing we want is for them to lose their home, or anything else for that matter. There are costs with his medical care, the home mortgage, his families transportation to and from the Healthcare facilities, possible hotel stays for them, food, essential bills, etc. We need to get the mortgage caught up immediately or else they are looking at possibly losing their home. Yvette is working but between work, being there for her husband, handling all of the moving parts with coordinating care and the family, she is overwhelmed. Todd needs support through this but so does his family and they all need our helping hand to carry them through this incredibly hard journey. The amount of prayers that have flooded in from all over the globe for Todd and his family is amazing and means the world to them. Help Veteran with Legionnaires Disease Keep Home

<div>Johanna “Johey” Crawford was tragically shot and killed in her own home on December 16, 2021. Her  9 year old great-granddaughter she had custody of was also kidnapped by the perpetrator and shortly <span style="font-size:1.0625rem;">later was returned to the safety of her grandfather.  Johey was loved by so many, including her husband, Knute Huber, and many grandchildren,  great grandchildren, adopted children, children, siblings, and family and friends. She cared for so many as a pediatric nurse and touched so many lives as a CASA (court appointed special advocate) volunteer. Johanna will be deeply missed and and this sudden loss is heartbreaking.  Funds will be used to provide care for her 9 year old granddaughter she had custody of and other unexpected expenses to help her spouse.   She is pictured above with her spouse at the recent wedding of one of her grandchildren. </span>

<div>On December 13th 2021 My Dad Gary and his girlfriend Angie lost everything to a house fire. As of right now the cause is unknown but believed to be an electrical Christmas tree fire. Everything they owned including clothing, furniture and personal belongings was taken away by the fire and they are left with the clothes they were wearing that day. They are currently staying in a hotel until they can get back on there feet. Luckily no one was injured but they just finished Christmas shopping for there loved ones and grandkids and unfortunately the fire took it all away. Mother Of Four Watch Home On Fire…

<div>Hi - my name is Shelby and I am putting this together for my father who will be having his second open-heart surgery this Friday, November 19th.   Most of you that know Greg, know that he just had open-heart surgery almost exactly a year ago. Unfortunately, due to an infection they have to go back in and replace the artificial valves they put in last year with human valves.

<div>My father pleaded with doctors for the past weeks that he knew something was wrong but was sent home and told to take some tylenol. Until he finally had so much pain in his right leg he went back to emergency where they  found a major blood clot and his heart rate was very low. He was then transferred to Traverse City where they performed surgery to remove the blood clot from his leg - later that night he went into cardiac arrest. Now he has an External Cardiac Pacemaker which is keeping him alive and we hoped that he would just need a pacemaker implanted. After his scope on Monday we got the hard news that they would have to open his chest again to replace the valves.

<p>It is with a heavy heart that we share that our friend, brother, son, father, husband, and Papa Robert Gravlin has begun his transition from this life, one he has shared with so many.
</p>

<p>Robert was a man blessed to be able to share his knowledge and love of life, friends and family with the world. Robert was dedicated to his family in every way through his words and actions.
</p>

<p>In late July Robert fell ill and began to lose his ability to walk and control his body. As July turned into August Robert was taken to two different hospitals where the doctors and specialists administered every test they could to try to figure out what was causing his rapid decline and start a treatment. With each day his condition continued to worsen until, eventually, our beloved Robert fell into an unresponsive state and was placed on life support systems.
</p>

<p>After an additional week of tests and specialists without any answers the family was presented with the most difficult decision any family could be asked to make. It is with his wishes in mind that the family he loved so much has decided to let him go.
</p>

<p>As Robert lived so to would his family like to remember his life, in celebration and memory with those he loved.
</p>

<p>His family is requesting your kindness to assist with the costs that come with the unexpected passing of a loved one.

She lost everything. She no longer has a home or one of her beloved pets. One of her neighbors was able to retrieve 2 of her dogs, but Diamond did not make it. Anything helps in this time of need. Sunday May 9th 2021 Jordan unexpectedly was taken from the world at the young age of 31 years old.  He was working in his mothers yard on Mother’s Day, when he went to move a heavy rock and suffered a massive heart attack.  Jordans young son Lincoln was outside with him and ran in to let his grandmother Kim know his daddy needed help.  We are trying to raise funds to help my Aunt Kim Spicer ( Jordans mom) pay for a Cremation and Memorial service.

My sister Rosanna, husband ilyace and their two beautiful children are currently in Morocco. They will be on their way back home to America in April. Their lawyer is confident that April will be the latest they will have to wait! I’m incredibly excited. They have been out of the country for 6 years and finally get to come home. Due to the virus and ilyace being laid off since March of 2020 ( he’s a tour guide)  they will not have the funds for their return flight or luggage. We have a big amazing family and I know if we come together we can make this possible for them. Any amount no matter how small counts and is greatly appreciated.

Coming to America

We are not the people to ask for help as we would always rather be the one helping, but we feel so helpless right now and don’t know what else to do. In the early morning of February  21st our home caught fire due to the furnace’s heat exchange. The furnace luckily was the only thing burned, however, the smoke damage and soot has completely destroyed our home and everything we own. We are so thankful everyone was alright and that is most important. We are now staying in a hotel, but trying to get into a furnished apartment for the next 2 months as the remediation process takes place. We have no idea what is even salvageable. We are devastated. We contacted our insurance company and it sounds like a very lengthy process. We are intermediately faced with the cost of our $2,000 insurance deductible, hotel bills, food, clothes, necessities, and a place to live the next couple months, among many other things. We need to have the kids checked out which will incur doctor and/or hospital bills. Our middle daughter is nauseous and dizzy and we hope and pray that all will be okay and symptoms don’t worsen. We pray for our girls health. Our 3 kitties were in the home as well. We were finally able to get them over to my mom’s tonight but they need to be seen by the vet. The list goes on. We thank you for taking the time to read our story, anything helps, even if it’s a simple prayer.

<p>As many of you know, Jeff lost both of his parents in a tragic accident last night. Karah was also in the accident and is in the hospital with multiple injuries. My world and literal reason for existence got to go home and be with the lord. God has just received some of the most beautiful and complex souls . I will cherish their memories and miss them every second of every day. <br /><br />My parents and niece went Christmas shopping yesterday, but never made it home. As they were 5 minutes away from home on US 223 in Adrian, they lost control of the car coming off the icy bridge when the car started to fish tail and was t-boned by a truck. My niece had a guardian angel and was lucky to get away with relatively minor injuries. Fractured ribs, collar bone and pelvic bone. The sad part is I lost both of my parents in a blink of an eye. I lost both of my best friends last night, the ones you call on when you have no one else to turn to. The ones who will love you unconditionally with no compromises. <br /><br />For all the loved ones my parents leave behind. Please do not be sad, do not mourn nor cry because that is not what they would have wanted. They can finally celebrate returning home to many family members and God. My niece and brother in law were tragically killed in a drunk driving accident last week at M59 and Airport Rd in Waterford. 

This GoFundMe is being set up because the community has been rallying together offering condolences and asking for ways they can help or if there is anything they can do.  If you would like to donate, anything and everything is greatly appreciated.

ALL funds raised will be used to purchase fans for seniors and handicapped individuals living in low income apartments. Many do not have air conditioning. The average cost of a fan is $20. <br />Jack and his friend Al started this 7 years ago and we want to continue this in Al's memory. Today (July 8) Jack, Sam, and I distributed 40 box fans to seniors, handicapped individuals, and low income families in need. Many of which were huddled in the shade in 90 degree heat because their apartments were too hot. The GRATITUDE from the recipients was overwhelming! We want to help even more people but in order to do so we need to ask for outside help! I wish we would have taken pictures but everything happened so fast. There is such a need out there!
