  1. Good Evening, I am John Eric Schmidt, Creator of Skelebarn Crew. Skelebarn Crew is a year around Skeleton display located in and around an old barn, on my property, out by the busy State Route 36 on the outskirts of Piqua, Ohio. The Skeleton display started as a joke and has quickly turned into a local beacon of Humor, Hope, and Joy. The displays have inspired people to send us cards of gratitude, as well as, Sharing their Heartfelt stories of what the displays mean to them, or what it has helped them through, such as grieving Loved ones, or routine therapy for dementia / Alzheimer patients, Special needs children and Adults, Parents and Grandparents driving the kids by to see what the Crew is up to, ect... Really more than I could have ever anticipated, predicted, or communicate. It has been such a blessing to so many, including myself. Unfortunately, it is also has a negative side for me , it costs me personally several thousand dollars per year to keep the displays going and active. I'm a 56 year old Husband, Father, & GrandFather who still works 45 - 50 hours per week at a punching a time clock job. The first year or so of doing the displays, I turned down $$$ donations because I do not do this for money. Unfortunately, The Financial Burden of continuing the displays are more than my family and I can carry alone. That is why I have started this gofundme in hopes the local and online communities (we just reached 10k followers on FB!) who enjoy it can help us carry the financial load of the inspirational and joyous displays. I apologize for being so long winded in my introduction. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for donating if you believe in our cause. Sincerely, John Eric Schmidt Mr. Skelebarn Ps : Follow us on FB, IG, TIKTOK
