What Sigma cares about

Technology, creativity, and being

I’m not good at asking for help. I’ve avoided it for most of my life. I’m an artist and a full-stack developer, and for the past several years I’ve been building something called Alsania — a creative and technical ecosystem focused on ethical software, open tools, and independent digital infrastructure. This isn’t a concept or a dream. It’s active work: code, design, systems, and releases that already exist and are still being built. I had plans to formally launch this as a small independent business. The work is there. The structure is there. What I didn’t plan for was running out of time and stability before I could finish and ship it properly. Recently, a close friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer. I helped him set up a GoFundMe to help cover bills and basic needs. He agreed to do it only if I promised I’d finally make one for myself too — to help keep my work alive. I kept putting mine off, thinking I had time. He passed away a few days later. Keeping that promise matters to me. And I’ve realized that without help, I may not be able to continue building at all. Right now, I’m struggling to cover basic living expenses while continuing the work I’ve already invested years of my life into. I’m not asking for luxury, investment capital, or hype funding. This is about survival, stability, and time — enough breathing room to keep working and finish what I’ve started. What this support helps with Basic living expenses so I can keep building Hosting, tools, and infrastructure costs Finishing and launching Alsania properly Preserving work that would otherwise stall or disappear Everything I build is independent, ethical, and open-minded. No surveillance, no data exploitation, no misleading promises. Just careful work done the right way. If you’re able to help — even a small amount — it genuinely makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this helps more than you probably realize. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for giving me a chance to keep going. — Sigma *no sweepstakes, giveaways, or promotions are offered in exchange for any donations made to your GoFundMe
I’m starting this fundraiser for my friend, Peewee. A few weeks ago, he was diagnosed with cancer, and since then, his world has been turned upside down. The days are now filled with doctor visits, chemotherapy sessions, and a constant stream of medical bills and everyday expenses that don’t stop just because life has been interrupted. Peewee is a tough, stubborn, kind, and funny person—someone who’s always shown resilience, even when the odds are stacked against him. But cancer doesn’t just attack the body; it brings a wave of financial pressure at the worst possible time. Right now, Peewee has nothing left because of these treatments. He’s an older guy who doesn’t get out much, and most of his family are gone. The few who are still around aren’t able to help, and he doesn’t have a big circle of friends to lean on. I know if I were in his place, the last thing I’d want to worry about is unpaid bills or an empty plate. That’s why I’m reaching out to our community—to try and find some relief for him, so he can focus on getting through this fight with dignity and hope. Every dollar raised will go directly toward Peewee’s medical bills, prescription costs, rent, groceries, utilities, and travel to and from appointments. Your support will help him focus on his health, instead of the stress of unpaid bills or going without essentials. If you can donate, thank you. If you can share this, that’s just as powerful. Even a small gesture can mean the world when someone is struggling. Thank you for reading, and for being part of Peewee’s support system.
