The family of Preston Horman is facing an unimaginable loss. Preston passed away unexpectedly at the age of 49, leaving behind his wife, Ashna, and their two sons, Carter and Caleb. <div>Indie was born on December 11th with a congenital heart defect called coarctation of the aorta. This causes her heart to work extra hard to pump blood to the rest of her body. Because of this, Indie was in the NICU at birth as she was having spouts of turning blue and having trouble breathing on her own. The doctors, however, weren’t aware of her condition at this time so they cleared Indie to go home after her breathing got stronger. She was able to spend 3 weeks at home and seemed completely healthy.

<div>On January 7th, Indie stopped breathing and was rushed to the hospital where she was given the diagnosis of coarctation of the aorta. She was then life-flighted to Primary Children’s where she had to undergo immediate open heart surgery.

<div>The heart surgery was successful. However, while they were trying to do breathing trials to remove her breathing tube, she would stop breathing and was heavily reliant on her breathing machine. They decided to do a CT scan and unfortunately found that she had suffered multiple severe strokes and seizure's which have affected both the left side and right side of her brain. She will remain in the hospital for the time being as her parents and doctors work together to give her the best care possible.

<div>Gavin and Jeneca are the most incredible parents to Indie and her older sister Oakley. Our hearts ache for their family. Faith was ejected from the vehicle and was transported from the scene to a hospital in Idaho Falls by AirAmbulance. Unfortunately, Faith succumbed to her injuries and passed away a few hours later.<br /><br />Faith loved her family dearly and celebrated her 22nd birthday this past April.  She served an honorable mission in Jacksonville, Florida and loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. Faith was an angel among us and was a friend to all she came in contact. Faith is dearly loved by her family and friends and her passing leaves a gaping hole in our hearts. Melani was a fierce fighter and always maintained an attitude that she would kick cancer to the curb and was incredibly positive through all of her treatments. Melani is survived by her husband Darik and sons and daughter Michael, Matthew, Ryan, and Calle. She was diagnosed with Congestive heart failure, and things just keep happening; making her miserable and unable to come home. Her kidneys are not functioning and her body is retaining over 40lbs of fluid. She has blood clots in her lungs and in her heart. BYU Student Tragic Incident: Funeral Fund

Lane Garrett Allen and his fiance Jennifer were in a motorcycle accident on Sunday. Jenn is fine other than some road rash. However, Garret has been in and out of the hospital since the accident with several complications. <br /><img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/31452792_1532040404385801_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="31452792_1532040404385801_r.jpeg" />The bike landed on his leg and what we thought to only be tissue and muscle damage has escalated very quickly. Garrett was rushed by ambulance on Wednesday evening just an hour after being released from the ER. He was seizing and couldn't hold a blood pressure above 65/38. He was incoherent and running a high fever. After many tests, they have diagnosed Garrett with Sepsis. He is being treated for this. The doctors are concerned about Compartment Syndrome and they are taking all precautions necessary to keep it from getting worse. He is having surgery today to attempt to reduce the pressure in his leg. He is showing some signs of internal bleeding but the doctors haven't yet found the source. I was told by the Dr today that they haven't yet ruled it out, and he is being monitored closely. He is currently in the ICU at AF hospital. Please keep him in your prayers. This will be a long road of recovery.  His poor family is so worried. <br /><br />I have set the goal for this campaign at $8000 because the medical bills alone will be well over $20,000 and this new family is going to need some help with their medical bills and round the clock daycare for their sweet children. Both Garrett and Jenn will also miss work for a while to give Garrett the care he needs. The financial blow will be devastating. <br /><br />Garrett is engaged to his sweetheart and has 3 children who he works very hard to support. My name is Sandy Modersitzki, a friend and neighbor of the Merrill family.  The Merrills experienced every family's worst nightmare when they lost their 16 year old son, Cole, on July 7, 2018, when he tragically drowned in the Jordan River. Cole was doing what he was usually doing which was enjoying life to the fullest! Whether it was rappelling in American Fork Canyon, hiking Mt. Timpanogos, floating the Provo River or wake boarding and surfing at Lake Powell, Cole did it and he did it well. He was service-oriented, kind and his smile could light up a room before he even entered. Just Friday, he helped young kids navigate down the Provo River. When he hiked Timp last week, he brought bagels and hot chocolate for everyone to enjoy at the top. It is hard to put into words how loved Cole was by anyone lucky enough to interact with him.  Our community's hearts our heavy with his loss and for our dear friends Carla, Sam, Sammy, Jaden and Riley Merrill. They were diagnosed with infertility and have been working closely with specialists in the field for the past 2 years.  Before reading the title of this GoFundMe page many of you had no idea that Sean and Angie were facing infertility. This is a really personal thing for them to share with all of you, and as hard as it is for them to ask for help, Sean and Angie need the help. <br /><br />The past 2 years have been hard for our family. We have experienced so much loss. First with the murder of our Dad Rusty Jacobs who was shot protecting his family in a home invasion who died a Hero. Then two days after losing our dad Angie lost a former Student in an auto pedestrian accident on Halloween.  Then loss of our beloved Grandmother Clarann Jacobs Larsen this past January. I am asking for your help to help two people that I love deeply.<br /><br />Sean and Angie have been married for over 5 years, and 2 years into their marriage they decided they would like to start a family. Angie was diagnosed with Endometriosis when she was 19 and was always told it was going to be challenging for her to have kids, but she never let that get to her. For their first child that was not the problem. Angie got off of the pill the end of December and was pregnant the beginning of February. This was a complete shock but was welcomed with so much happiness. They have loved being parents to their little girl and want to give her the gift of a sibling. Being a 6th grade teacher, Angie considers she has 97 kids; however, only one of those are actually hers. That being said, they decided to try again. Being that Angie got pregnant so quick with Alexa they didn’t think they would struggle. 4 months after trying and not getting pregnant, they decided to call the doctor. Angie was given Clomid and took that for 7 rounds. The doctor said if that didn’t work then they would have to move on to a fertility specialist to help. Well that is what exactly happened.<br /><br />As they met with the fertility specialist, they found out Angie not only has endometriosis but also has PCOS. The doctor said, most women only have one female problem; however, you have 2. This was the hardest thing for them to hear. After 6 failed rounds of timed intercourse and IUI the doctor suggested IVF as being the only successful route. She said Angie’s endometriosis was playing a bigger part than they expected. Well that’s where your help would be coming in at. They have already spent thousands of dollars with the previous plan that now being told IVF costs between $15,000-20,000 they are at a loss of how they are going to pay for it. <br /><br />This is a very overwhelming process that they would not be able to manage without the love and support of our family, friends, and community.
