Stephen Phillips

I’m Sheri Jackson. I am doing this fundraiser for my friend Stephen Phillips. He’s going through a very hard time right now, his life has all but imploded. Many of you know him, respect him & are inspired by his dedication & commitment in the animal world, helping those who have no voice. For 50 years, he’s been an animal rescuer, advocate, foster & long time adopter. He’s the guy who actually has the courage & drive to take tangible ACTION, bringing animal welfare issues to the forefront, to the right officials & has been successful in changing many statutes to protect animals. He has never asked us for one thing. He recently had major, life altering surgery & is nearly incapacitated. Stephen is in a desperate financial position & is overwhelmed with excruciating pain, anxiety & the stress of possibly losing everything. His difficult recovery is expected to last a long time. During Stephens health crisis, one his beloved cats almost died from a, serious intestinal blockage. It cost Stephen many thousands of dollars to save Bruce’s life. Stephen would never said “no”. Moving forward, it will require a lifetime of ongoing treatment & management including costly prescription food for Bruce. Stephen relies on income from Social Security Disability benefits. Stephen has never asked for help from anyone. This fundraising effort is a way for us to help him out when he needs it most. It’ our time to rally for Stephen.
