<div>My mom, Shirley Alivio, 67, recently suffered a serious fall and is now confined at Parañaque Doctors Hospital - Philippines. She sustained a severe hip and leg bone fracture that requires urgent surgery with a bipolar cementless hip implant. At the moment, she is unable to walk, and every day without proper treatment increases the risk of further complications.

<div>I am currently in Germany to donate my kidney to my sister, who is in late-stage kidney failure, with the transplant scheduled for November 3, if all goes smoothly. While I am grateful to give her a chance at a healthier life, our immediate focus is my mom’s urgent surgery.
