What they care about

I have became dedicated to promoting roadway and pedestrian safety through my “Halo Glow” vision and advocacy efforts surrounding “Shannon’s Law.”

✨ HALO GLOW™ UPDATE: WE’RE MAKING CONNECTIONS AND KEEPING THE VISION ALIVE! ✨ From Heartbreak to Hope. From Tragedy to Purpose. Hello, Halo Glow Family! I wanted to take a moment to share an exciting update and sincerely thank everyone who has donated, shared our fundraiser, prayed for us, or simply offered words of encouragement. When I lost my sister, Shannon Rushing, on October 27, 2025, my world changed forever. But through the pain, God placed a purpose on my heart: to help create safer communities and explore ways to improve pedestrian visibility so other families may not have to experience the heartbreak that mine has endured. That purpose became Halo Glow™. EXCITING PROGRESS! I’m grateful to share that Halo Glow is continuing to move forward! ✨ New Business Connections: We have begun opening conversations with companies and creative professionals about potential collaboration, brand development, and opportunities to bring Halo Glow to life. We recently received an encouraging invitation to meet with a branding and creative agency to explore whether working together could be a good fit. ✨ Product Development: Our initial vision includes illuminated wristbands, shoe clips, and backpack clips designed to help people become more visible in low-light conditions. We are also exploring future reflective smart safety apparel. ✨ Community Safety Advocacy: I am continuing efforts to advance Shannon’s Law, a proposed pedestrian-safety initiative focused on improvements such as lighting, sidewalks, warning signs, and safer roadways. ✨ The First 100 Initiative: One of my biggest goals remains providing the first 100 Halo Glow safety devices free to selected individuals and families who could benefit, once development, testing, and successful production make distribution possible. We are still in the development and fundraising stages, but every conversation, every connection, and every supporter brings us another step forward. WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS Your donations can help support: Product engineering and prototype development Safety testing and manufacturing preparation Community awareness and educational outreach Future pilot programs and the First 100 Initiative Outreach and advocacy efforts supporting Shannon’s Law This mission is bigger than creating a product. It’s about building awareness, encouraging innovation, advocating for safer streets, and honoring a beautiful life taken too soon. A PERSONAL THANK YOU To everyone who has supported us: THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! I know this journey will take time, resources, hard work, and the right partnerships. But I believe that something meaningful can grow from even the deepest pain. I cannot bring Shannon back, but I can continue working to make sure her story inspires positive change. Please continue donating, sharing our GoFundMe, and spreading the word. Even a $10 or $20 donation can help move this mission forward. Help Us Bring Halo Glow to Life A Community Safety Initiative Inspired by Shannon Rushing My name is Shanta Norton, and I am the founder of Halo Glow — a developing pedestrian and student visibility safety initiative created with one purpose: helping save lives. After the heartbreaking loss of my sister, Shannon Rushing, on a dark roadway in Ocala, Florida, I knew something had to change. Shannon was struck and killed in an area with limited lighting, poor visibility, and no safe pedestrian infrastructure. Since that day, I have dedicated myself to advocating for safer communities and creating innovative visibility solutions that may help prevent future tragedies. Halo Glow is being developed as a modern pedestrian safety and visibility system designed to improve visibility for:  * students waiting at bus stops, * pedestrians walking in low-light conditions, * runners and cyclists, * roadside workers, * and families in underserved communities lacking sidewalks and lighting.  Our goal is to create practical, community-focused safety products that are effective, comfortable, modern, and highly visible without creating distractions for drivers. At this stage, Halo Glow is currently in development and pending intellectual property protection. Funding raised through this campaign will support:  * prototype development, * safety testing, * product engineering, * manufacturing consultations, * patent and trademark expenses, * community awareness campaigns, * and future pilot safety programs.  We are also working toward larger partnerships that could eventually support:  * school safety initiatives, * Safe Routes to School programs, * pedestrian awareness campaigns, * and community roadway safety improvements throughout Florida and beyond. Why We Need Your Support Creating a safety-focused innovation requires significant resources. As a woman entrepreneur with over 25 years of transportation and public safety experience, I am committed to building Halo Glow responsibly, professionally, and with the community at the center of every decision. Your support will help: * accelerate safe product development, * expand outreach and awareness, * support future safety demonstrations, * and bring visibility solutions to communities where they are desperately needed. Every donation, sponsorship, and share helps move this mission forward.  Corporate & Community Partnership Opportunities We are actively seeking partnerships with: * transportation companies, * safety organizations, * schools and districts, * community leaders, * local businesses, * manufacturers, * healthcare organizations, * and philanthropic sponsors who believe in improving pedestrian safety. Larger donations and sponsorships may help support: * prototype sponsorship opportunities, * community visibility campaigns, * student safety outreach, * and future pilot programs in high-risk areas.  Organizations interested in partnership opportunities may contact us directly regarding collaboration, sponsorship, and community safety initiatives. In Memory of Shannon Rushing Halo Glow is more than a product idea. It is a mission born from love, loss, and the determination to help protect others. Our hope is that Shannon’s story can inspire safer roadways, stronger visibility awareness, and real solutions that help save lives.  Thank you for believing in this vision and supporting a safer future for our communities.  — Shanta Norton Founder, Halo Glow
