<p>My name is Richard Potts.. I'm trying to raise fund for my 15 years old son Leon karting championship.. ( we both are deaf). 
</p>
<p>Two years ago... Leon had found his passion about F1 and karting races...he asked me 'is there are any deaf Karting that he could join in?'. Luckily I've founded one called EDKL (England Deaf Karting League ). He joined in early last year, with being youngest member. starting at bottom of bronze group. Then he becoming championship of the group. And position 11th out of 50 drivers in overall groups.

<p>This year, His dream is to race at International SuperCup in Italy at end of Auguest to earn his SWS point.  
</p>
<p>Also he recently got select to be part of England Deaf Karting Team (EDKT) for European Deaf Karting Championship near Paris. Making him the youngest Racer  in history for EDKT. 
</p>
<p>He aiming to attend all EDKL to become championship and 24 hrs Endurance in Silvertone. 
</p>
<p>It is expensive sport... I do want to courage his dream future to becoming racing driver. But I'm struggle to fund for  accomodation and Travel, foods cost for attending  to this Supercup in Italy and European Deaf karting Championship 
</p>

<div>Erik Arellano, a passionate Deaf researcher from Mexico, has this excellent opportunity to attend the deaf-run summer school of sign language studies at Humboldt University Berlin (Germany) in July 2025—a rare opportunity to connect with and learn from fellow Deaf researchers from around the world.

<div>Erik is about to finish his BA Communications at UACM (<em>Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México</em>) and he hopes to start his MA/PhD in sign language linguistics. Mexican Sign Language (LSM) is his first language, Spanish being his 2nd. He has knowledge of American Sign Language and International Signs. He is the president of <strong>CoPeSor</strong> (<em>Coalición de Personas Sordas</em>) a national deaf activist coalition and he works as an experienced Deaf interpreter interpreting in LSM/IS/ASL/visual Spanish.

<div>In Mexico, resources for Deaf academic research and professional Deaf researchers, especially in Mexican Sign Language (LSM), are extremely limited (especially with limited access to fundings etc). This summer school represents a unique chance for Erik to expand his knowledge, build an international network, and bring valuable insights back to his community in Mexico.
