My employment contract expired, and I’m working to change occupations so I can return to the sea in the merchant marines. As a Navy veteran, this next step means a lot to me, but I need help covering the costs to make the transition possible. Right now, I’m driving for gig work to keep up with my bills. I’m working 7 days most weeks, usually at least 12 hours a day, and even though I’m getting by, everything is tight. I’ve been able to pay for some things little by little, but it’s a very long process, and when life comes up, it pushes my timeline further and further back. Your support will help pay for: My MMC credentials The radio operator's course I need to take The gear I will need to work at sea At least a month of rent and food during this transition I need this support within the next 2 to 3 months so I can move forward with the training and credentials required to get back out on the water.
