Benjamin Melendez Sr. was more than just a neighbor to Shaheed—he was a cherished friend and a pillar of the community. After a courageous battle with congestive heart failure and multiple organ failure, Benjamin passed away on July 23, 2026, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center. His health struggles forced him into retirement, ending a lifetime of dedication to Hamilton Car Wash. For Benjamin, the car wash was not just a job; it was a part of his identity. He knew every machine and every corner by heart, and his unwavering commitment meant he rarely missed a day, no matter the weather. With their permission, I wanted to share that Pastor Trish suffered a stroke last Saturday, November 4th. While she remains the witty woman that we all know and love, Pastor Trish is facing residual issues with her vision and left-sided paralysis. While we ask that you continue to pray for complete healing, I know there are so many who have also asked, "What can I do to help?". I wanted to provide a way for you to do so, on their behalf. Pastor Trish and Derrick have not only been a huge influence in my life, but countless others as well. I've genuinely never met a family as welcoming or selfless. They have spent years dedicated to serving, loving, and investing in the lives of so many - and I'd love to allow them to focus solely on her recovery during this time. In order to fully care for Pastor Trish, Derrick has needed to take an extended leave from working. Trenton resident Beatrice Jamison, 90, was served with an eviction notice by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, April 15, 2019. Mrs. Jamison whose husband, John, passed away last year, is on a fixed income. Since her husband’s passing, she no longer receives his pension. Her home, which she has lived in since 1959, was sold in foreclosure to a third party. We have launched this campaign to help with relocation costs and to place Mrs. Jamison in stable housing. 90 Year Old Trenton NJ Resident Facing EVICTION

As many of you know, our mentor, friend, colleague, ambassador, cheerleader, hero, Art has been diagnosed with cancer.  He, of course, has an extremely positive attitude about all this, but acknowledges that this will be a long and exhausting road.  And while Art is always Art and not wanting anyone to worry about him, the truth is we all are worried about him and Teri.  So I thought one thing we all could do that would be very beneficial as he undergoes treatment over the next 8 weeks is to provide them with as many meals as possible.  We will raise this money so Art and Teri don't have to worry about cooking or going out.  They can order in  lots of meals and groceries to their home where they can relax and rest and get through this difficult time.  Please don't let Art or Teri know we're doing this as you know Art always wants to help others, but always denies help for himself.  So we're going forge ahead and do this and bring them some comfort. Please share this with as many people as possible so we can show this GREAT man how appreciative we are for all that he has done and meant to us!

On February 25, 2018, our father Darrell Russell II passed away. This past year has been a rough one health-wise as he has gone through a multiple myeloma, chemotherapy and was in remission as of December 2017.<br /><br />Our father did not have life insurance and the family humbly ask for your the help of the church congregation, his fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi, and loved ones for funeral expenses.<br /><br />Dad was a proud Christian man that would spread the goodness of the Lord to whoever he would come in contact with. If he was not at church, you can find him at the Kappa Alpha Psi Black &amp; White Ball or any Kappa event.<br /><br />Each organization meant a great deal in his life along with his children. The sudden death after his tremendous progress hurts our family more than ever.<br /><br />There is no limit or an arbitrary target for donations, every bit helps.  <br /><br />Thank you for your support.
