My Journey to the Skies & Hotel Management Aloha everyone, my name is Sergey. I’m reaching out to my community because I’m working hard toward a big future in Ho’okipa (hospitality), but I’ve hit a bit of a financial wall. Right now, I’m a student at KCC living in Waikiki, Honolulu finishing up my degree in Hospitality and Tourism. My dream is a bit of a "split" one—I’m determined to become a Flight Attendant for Hui Mokulele o Hawai’i (Hawaiian Airlines), but I also want to work my way up from a Front Desk Agent to eventually managing a hotel. I’ve always been someone who loves to dive deep into a good book, and that carries over into my professional life too. I genuinely enjoy following precise instructions and mastering the "sequence of service" charts that make a guest's experience perfect. I find a lot of satisfaction in that kind of order and discipline; it’s how I know I’ll reach the goals I've set for myself. I love the energy of this industry, but getting the education to Alaka’i (lead) it with Po’okela (excellence) and care has left me with about $10,000 in debt from all the books and materials I’ve needed. When I’m not focused on school or my career, I’m at my piano or guitar. Writing music and reading my favorite books is how I plan to keep our Pono (balance) and maintain Lokahi (harmony) in my life. I have a lot of original songs I’ve written, and clearing this debt would finally give me the chance to focus on the initiative of recording them and putting my music out there. The funds I’m raising will go toward: Paying off the $10k in debt from my college books and study guides.  Helping me through the unpaid training period for Hawaiian Airlines, allowing me to focus on safety and service leadership.  Supporting my transition into a Front Desk role so I can start my path to hotel management with a focus on collaboration and unity. Getting my original piano and guitar music produced to share the spirit of the islands.  Where Your Donations Go I want to be completely open about where this $10,000 goal comes from. Every dollar raised goes directly toward these specific milestones:  Knocking Out School Debt ($4,500): This covers what I still owe KCC for tuition, plus the high cost of textbooks and study guides from my classes. Flight Attendant Training Lifeline ($2,500): Hawaiian Airlines training is incredibly tough and completely unpaid. This fund keeps a roof over my head in Waikiki, keeps food on my table, and pays for bus/transit fares during those intense weeks.  Hospitality Credentials ($2,000): To jump from the front desk into hotel management quickly, I need professional certifications like the Certified Front Desk Manager track. This money pays for those courses and exam fees. Recording My Music ($1,000): This goes toward renting local studio time, hiring an engineer to mix my tracks, and getting my original piano and guitar songs onto streaming platforms. My Promise to Hawai‘i By supporting my journey, you are investing in a leader dedicated to elevating our islands. I promise to use my education and platform to make Hawai‘i better by focusing on three pillars:  Uncompromising Safety: I will master rigorous aviation and hotel security protocols. I pledge to protect our residents and visitors with absolute vigilance, ensuring Hawai‘i remains a safe, trusted destination.  Ohana-Centered Hospitality: Tourism must feel like family. I will train front-line teams to treat every traveler not as a transaction, but as ‘Ohana (family), fostering genuine human connections that honor our local culture.  Community Balance (Pono): I promise to lead tourism initiatives that respect our local neighborhoods. I will advocate for sustainable growth that keeps our island lifestyle in Pono (perfect balance) and Lōkahi (harmony). My Way of Saying Thanks  I really want to give back to the people supporting me. Here is what I’ve set up as a thank you:  A Personal Note ($25): I’ll drop a personalized, handwritten digital thank-you card right into your inbox.  Early Access ($50): You’ll get a digital file of my very first studio track before it goes live anywhere else.  I Will Sing a Song ($100+): I’ll record a video playing a song on the piano or guitar just for you, and post it right in the updates here.  What to Do Next  Every single share or donation makes a massive difference for me.  1. Donate: Tap the "Donate Now" button if you’re able to chip in.  2. Share: Pass the link along to your friends on Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn.  3. Chat: Leave a comment below with a good book recommendation or your best travel hack! Honestly, whether it’s a small donation or just sharing this link, it helps more than you know. I’m ready to serve our islands with hospitality and heart, whether it’s at 30,000 feet or at the front desk of a great hotel. Mahalo for reading and for supporting my journey. With Aloha and gratitude, Sergey
