<div>On July 7, 2025, my nephew, Francis Pelletier, son of Joe and Colleen Pelletier, suffered a devastating spinal cord injury affecting his C2, C3, C4 and C5 vertebrae.
</div>
<div>Francis is a vibrant, kind, and determined 22 year old who has spent years dedicating himself to the sports he loves, including wrestling, judo, and tennis. Francis is also a gifted and passionate artist, cartoonist, and graphic designer. He recently graduated from the University of Rhode Island and was set to begin a Master’s program this fall. Just this spring, he traveled to Japan and Ireland with friends, full of excitement and dreams for the future.
</div>
<div>After a 14-hour surgery and more than 3 weeks in the ICU, Francis is finally stable enough to begin the next phase of recovery at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, MA. While this is a hopeful step forward, the road ahead will be long and challenging. His injury has left him with limited movement in both his upper and lower extremities, and the journey to regain strength, independence, and mobility will require months, if not years, of intensive rehabilitation, equipment and support.
</div>
<div>Many of you know Francis’s devoted parents, Joe and Colleen, and his older brother, Joseph. They have been by his side every single day. However, as you can imagine, the emotional and financial burden of an injury like this is overwhelming. We are asking for your support to help cover the enormous costs associated with Francis’s recovery,
</div>
<div>including hospital stays, rehabilitation, adaptive equipment, home modifications, and ongoing care. Every dollar raised will go directly to helping Francis have the best possible chance at rebuilding his life.
</div>
<div>Francis is strong, both in body and in spirit, and he is ready to fight. But he can’t do it alone. Please donate if you can, and share this page widely with friends, family, and anyone who can help.
</div>
<div>Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your kindness, generosity, and support.
</div>

<div>With gratitude,

Frey Judo Family lose home in a devastating fire.

<div>Hi all,
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>We're so heartbroken to share that Steven Lacombe passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 10th. He left behind his wife Heidi, four kids and six grandkids.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Steve has always been the core of the family. He was an amazing carpenter, daring dirt bike rider, always up for a wrestling match with the grandkids and never turned down a piece of birthday cake even though he hated cake. I can't express how much he is already missed.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Any help would be so so appreciated for this unexpected time for our family.
</div>

<div>
</div>

<div>Thanks, everyone.

<p>A great man &amp; friend to many,  has lost his <br />beautiful, sweet daughter Katy Hill in a tragic automobile accident,<br />Thursday evening, March 4, 2021.<br /> Katy, a beautiful 17 year old girl, <br />had the heart of gold and was a animal lover of all animals, who even took her time to feed <br />carrots to donkeys at a rescue so they could <br />feel loved. <br /> Katy brought much joy to her Dad and <br />everyone who knew her.  I know times are <br />difficult, but as a parent I can not even imagine how difficult it will be everyday for Pj,  he will need time to mourn his beautiful girl &amp; <br />without our help it will be very difficult. <br />Pj  is a very proud man, but it’s times like this where he is going to need all of us, let’s help PJ by taking the burden off his shoulders for a <br />couple months so he can take care of his heart and mind.

Help Pj have time to mourn the loss of his Katy

On September 12th the Surette family was sadly changed forever. While out for an evening walk with her son JJ, Antonieta (Toni) Surette the wonderful wife of Jay Surette was struck and killed by a hit and run driver. Toni was a loving, caring, hard working mother and wife. She cared for her family and friends deeply as well as her coworkers and  everyone she came in contact with. She was the life of the party and certainly did not deserve an ending such as this. Jay and Toni have been together going on 20 years and had many great years ahead of them which has now come to this tragic end.<br /><br />There is no replacing Toni or any amount of justice that will bring her back to our lives. Jay will now have to be the sole provider and parent to this wonderful little boy JJ. JJ will have to go through a very difficult life from this young age and for the rest of his life without his beloved mother. JJ will have the vision of this accident in his mind forever and does not deserve any more suffering than he has already endured. <br /><br />We are hoping that with this fundraiser people will help JJ and his fantastic father get through some of the tough times ahead. Hopefully we can help give JJ a head start to his future with this memorial fund. Their wonderful family will help as much as they can and we are sure of that but as with anything it will only go so far. If you have the ability to help this cause please do. Each one of you can help her legacy live on with any donation you can afford. Thank you and God Bless.

My name is D'Arcy Rahming and I am the President of the Bahamas Judo Federation (BJF). On September 1, Hurricane Dorian struck Marsh Harbor on the island of Abaco with devastating force.  CNN is reporting 70,000 homeless and the Abaco Judo Club and many of it's students are counted amongst that number. <br /><br />The Abaco Judo Club, a BJF member, was founded in the 1980s and since that time has produced national and international champions, and well as creating a community of transformation for its members. A dojo, like a school or a church or a synagogue, can function as an essential part of community life, and training there can help heal the emotional trauma that accompanies a disaster of this scale. People, and children in particular, need access to a physical and mental place of normalcy as quickly as possible. <br /><br />In this period many students and their families are relocating while some are already rebuilding.  This gofundme fund has been established specifically for anything they will need in a transition to normalcy. It will be used for expenses for dojo students: from new school uniforms, doctors bills, etc. and the restoration of the physical dojo when that time comes. <br /><br />To that end, we are appealing to you to help us rebuild the dojo community of Abaco. Every dollar helps. Thank you and may God Bless you.

Bahamas Judo Hurricane Relief

Judo-Jujitsu Club, owned by Sensei Os Millan,   is located in Madison, Wisconsin. The Club was severely damaged due to the torrential rains over the last week. There was over 4 feet of water inside of the Dojo.  All  mats were destroyed and are in need of replacement. The equipment was damaged, and at this time there is no indication that the equipment can be repaired.  Sensei Millan has taught for many years in Wisconsin, and given his time to train athletes to compete at local, State, National and International Tournaments.  Sensei Millan has given generously to Judo - now is the time to give back! He needs our help, please donate what you can, every donation will be greatly appreciated.
