What Serena cares about

Hi everyone, I'm reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support in helping our beloved Chester. Chester is our cheeky, mischievous 5-year-old Manchester Terrier who’s recently developed a concerning lump on his neck. At first, the vet suspected a wasp or bee sting—or possibly an abscess. He was treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, but sadly, there's been no improvement. Worse still, Chester is showing lameness and refuses to put weight on his back leg. It’s been heartbreaking to watch him in pain, as we're all unsure of what’s wrong. A biopsy of the lump thankfully ruled out cancer, but it revealed a foreign body infection. The issue now is that the vets can’t locate the source of the infection, and because the lump is near his jugular, they’re hesitant to operate without more information. The only safe way forward is to perform an MRI and CT scan, which will allow the vets to pinpoint the problem and safely plan surgery. The total cost for these scans and treatment is estimated between £4,000 and £6,000. We’ve already spent over £3,000 on previous tests, medications, and consultations, and we’re now at a financial breaking point. That’s why we’ve set up this GoFundMe — to give Chester the best chance. We’re asking, from the bottom of our hearts, for your help. Every single donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward Chester’s scans and medical care. Even if you’re not in a position to donate, simply sharing this page would mean the world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read Chester’s story, and for supporting us during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity mean more than words can say. With heartfelt thanks, Chester's Family
