<div>Hi everyone! On Friday (10-25-2024) afternoon my boyfriend, Cole Taschman, was severely attacked by a shark while surfing in Stuart, Florida. The shark bit down on both his feet at once and he suffered from tendon damage and sustained deep wounds almost losing both his feet. He does not have health insurance and had to undergo two surgeries by Dr. Robert Borrego at Saint Mary's Medical Center to repair 3 tendons, received 93 stitches and many staple stitches as well. He is a local captain loved in the community and won't be able to work for 3 months to recover from his attack. He is currently wheelchair bound and has a long road to recovery. Please help him stay on his feet (no pun intended) and to cover medical costs. Thank you so much and shakaaaaa!

<div>My name is Courtney Foster, and I'm here to tell you a little bit about my mom, Lynette, and her journey battling ovarian cancer while also supporting my two school-aged cousins by becoming their legal guardian.

<div>For those who know my mom, you know that she is probably the most adventurous 63 year-old around— she loves to camp, kayak, and go bike riding. She is an incredibly involved community member. When I was younger, she helped organize PTA events, field trips, and volunteered in the community all while raising two daughters and working full time as a single mother. She has supported me through every aspect of my life, and I would not be the person I am today without her.

<div>My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in May of 2021. I moved back home to Stuart, Florida in order to support her during that difficult time. She went straight into treatment: extensive testing, many rounds of chemotherapy, and eventually surgery that following September. The surgery was deemed a success by her amazing surgeons at Jupiter Medical. She rested for months, and was able to fully retire in March of 2022, giving her the ability to travel, relax, and make the most of every day she’s been given back.

<div>In order to keep the cancer at bay, she will continue to have chemotherapy appointments each week, and CT scans every three months to monitor the cancer cells in order to prevent it from continuing to spread. Due to extensive medical bills and her recent retirement, in August 2022 she moved into a retirement community, sold her house and most of her things.
</div>

<div>Unfortunately, things took another turn this past October: her sister, my aunt, Lisa, passed away due to surgery complications at age 65. My aunt was a grandmother and legal guardian to my two cousins, who are 8 and 16, who immediately needed a legal guardian to take care of them after Lisa’s passing. 
</div>

<div>My mom stepped in and was able to set my cousins up in a new apartment in their school district this past December, and started taking the steps toward legal guardianship. However, the legal process was a lot more than expected, even after going through the daunting process through the Florida Department of Children and Families and the Social Security office to file all the paperwork, she was told by a judge that she needed to hire a lawyer. 
</div>

<div>On top of taking on the new financial responsibility that comes with taking care of children and her medical bills, she now has to pay thousands of dollars in lawyers fees, all on a fixed retired income. 
</div>

<div>Now, fast forward to today, 2023, I am aiming to raise $10k for my mom, who is incredibly prideful and is simply doing the best she can. The money raised will go towards the lawyer fees associated with obtaining legal guardianship of my cousins, and to help fund their life together and gain some much needed stability for the family during a very tumultuous time. All I want for my mom and my cousins is for them to go through this new life transition with the least amount of financial stress possible. Anything helps, thank you, blessings all around!

<div>My name is Rachel Walters. I am starting this GoFund for my daughter Amber. She is a new mom who gave birth to a beautiful baby girl March 1, 2022.

<div>Shortly after giving birth Amber started experiencing terrible pain throughout her body. She thought that maybe she was just working too hard.

<div>Amber had to immediately go back to work to support her new baby so she thought it was just because she didn't give her body enough rest.
</div>
<div>She lived with the pain for over year until it was too much to take, so she went to the emergency room.
</div>
<div>Unfortunately, after a ct scan and a biopsy the doctors discovered the source of her pain is Hodgkins Lymphoma. She is in Stage III B and will begin immediate chemo.

<div>My heart is broken. Our family is devasted by this terrible news.
</div>
<div>My daughter is only 26 years old so this comes to quite a shock for all of us. She has a long, hard road ahead of her and I pray that she can get through this.
</div>
<div>My daughter needs to focus on healing and surviving this and shouldn't have to worry about losing her home, vehicle or paying for basic needs.
</div>
<div>I am helping as much as I can but I can only do so much. Her basic monthly expenses and medical bills are overwhelming.
</div>
<div>Her 1 year old needs her mommy and of course, just having a little one is expensive too.
</div>
<div>All donations will be used for medical bills, rent, food and basic monthly expenses like her car, insurance etc.

<div>She needs more than $6,000 but we are starting small and hoping to build momentum.

<div>Her medical bills are going to be astronomical but if she can just get enough to live while doing her treatments then that would be a blessing.

<div>My daughter has worked hard since she was 18 years old. She has successfully promoted quickly within the Taco Bell organization and was on her way to a good career at Taco Bell. But now she is unable to work because of her treatment and unable to provide an income to support herself and her baby.

<div>I can't begin to tell you the struggles my daughter is facing and I sincerely hope that people out there can and will help this young mother.

Funeral expenses

<p>We are the family of Lynn Murray. She was the most amazing person we knew, our most favorite person on earth. She was everything to us. She was shot and killed in King Soopers down the road from our house while filling an Instacart order. We wish we could have her back we love her more than anything. <br /><br />My name is Olivia Mackenzie and I am from Boulder, Co. I was living in California this past year and moved back to Boulder on February 17 to be closer to family and join my mom &amp; dad in doing gig work.  We don’t know what amount to put we don’t know what to expect in the coming days, anything helps. To Friends of University of Miami Masters Graduate student Ronald Prioleau:<br /><br /> This past Thursday, Dec. 14th, 2017, Journalism Masters student Ronald Prioleau walked across the University of Miami stage to pick-up his diploma as his parents Ronnie and Mary Prioleau proudly watched from their seats in the audience.  They had flown in from South Carolina to share this special moment with their son.<br /><br /> Within hours of that joyous event, Ronald and his parents were devastated by the news that their other son Ronnie Prioleau-- Ronald's older brother-- had been killed in a tragic car accident in South Carolina.<br /><br /> Ronald and his parents immediately returned to South Carolina to begin plans for Ronnie's funeral. <br /><br />The thrill from successfully completing 18-months of hard work and the joy of the approaching holidays have been shattered for Ronald, as he and his family must now grieve the loss of their brother, son and friend.<br /><br />This “Go Fund Me” Memorial Fund is a way for Ronald’s University of Miami ‘family’ and other friends to show their support for the entire Prioleau family during this painful time.  It is a small and heartfelt way to offer some relief for the unexpected, burdensome costs of burying a young, beloved 33-year-old family member.<br /><br />If you feel moved to help, please consider donating any amount, small or large, to this memorial fund account, which will go directly to the Prioleau family to help with funeral expenses.<br /><br />Thank you.
