<div>I grew up in ST. Elizabeth,  Jamaica, and our small community of Thornton was devastated by Hurricane Melissa. Homes were destroyed and many families lost everything. I am raising funds to send immediate relief- food, roofing materials, and school supplies directly to trusted local contacts and church members on the ground. Every dollar helps bring hope and restoration.

<div>My name is Santana McGrath, and I’m from Thornton, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Our community was hit hard by Hurricane Melissa — a storm that took away more than just our homes and belongings. It destroyed livelihoods, left families displaced, and brought pain and uncertainty to so many of us who now struggle to start over.

<div>When the hurricane passed, what was once a peaceful place was left in ruins. Roofs were torn off, crops and livestock were wiped out, and the essentials we depended on—food, water, and shelter—became scarce overnight. I personally lost most of my possessions in a property I rented.

<div>But even in the midst of devastation, I believe in hope and community. That’s why I’m sharing my story here — to ask for help in rebuilding my life and helping others around me do the same. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to restoring stability, safety, and dignity.
