Kevin Brennan was a wonderful father, husband, and friend. I am fortunate to have been one of the coworkers he chose to become a true friend, as are many of you reading this. Kevin was a brilliant coworker, fabulous cook, snappy dresser, master of dry humor, and also of a well-placed look from across the room. He was a man that lived countless lives, before settling into his favorite life of family man & corporate dork. Along the winding path of his adult life, he bravely battled addiction. He had many years of wins, and many that contained temporary losses. It is with deep sadness that I share that Kevin lost his life to addiction earlier this month. Kevin could be a very private person, but he also believed deeply in helping others. Sharing this truth now, with the family’s consent, is done very much in the spirit of his legacy as someone that made a difference in the lives of others. There is no shame in seeking help, no matter how many times it must be sought. Kevin was proof that a great life of immense value can be lived by someone that struggles with addiction. Kevin put the entirety of his being into supporting and protecting his family, and that’s what this GoFundMe aims to do, in his honor. Lisa, Maddie, and Kade have made the difficult decision to relocate to Kevin’s hometown, to live near family. The immediate costs of their relocation, transporting Whiskey (their sweet dog) back stateside, and getting on their feet during this time of heart shattering loss are high. There are also many unknowns, in terms of final costs associated with his most recent care facilities. Your support of this GoFundMe will provide direct relief to Lisa as she settles the family into a new routine, and figures out what is next.
