<div>Recently, Andrew was in a bad bicycle accident that left him with a spinal injury-L4-L5 herniated disc. He’s been unable to work and doesn’t yet have a clear timeline for recovery. He’ll need ongoing care through the spinal institute and physical therapy, which means more time away from work and more expenses on top of everyday bills.

<div>I sadly write this on Lily's 21st birthday. It is very hard to believe someone so young and whom I love so much is going through something so heavy. Lily is such a strong and beautiful person that I have come to know through her wonderful mother Maya over the past few years. She is a healer, a helper, a selfless nurturer; Someone who puts her whole heart and soul into healing others through her diligent practice of massage therapy and helping her mother with their beautiful restaurant Superette, in which she provides care and high quality service to the community/guests of Gainesville, FL. In addition, Lily is truly a kind, genuine and loving sister, daughter and friend to all; this is why she needs her community now more than ever.

<div>Lily was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma after some months of symptoms which were either misdiagnosed or downgraded by health care practitioners. After hearing a friend's account of her own symptoms before being diagnosed with cancer, Lily drove herself to the ER. After several scans and biopsies later, the results were confirmed just before her 21st birthday by University of Florida Shands Oncology.

<div>Though she has been staged as 2A, her case is presenting atypically enough to warrant her oncologist and other physicians on her care team to support a second opinion. She is currently seeking this opinion from Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York, the leading experts in cancer care, research and technology.

<div>Once again, I am here asking for your help. Like so many Americans, Lily is underinsured. The cost of treatment plus the out of network second opinion is astronomical. She will also be cutting back on work for the next 6+ months in order to focus on her healing, even though she insists on continuing with her plan to audit two online classes that are preparing her for her long-desired attendance at the Santa Fe College School of Nursing.

<div>Funds received will be used to offset medical bills and medication, help to pay for complementary care like mental health counseling, massage therapy, and acupuncture, in addition to help with living expenses like car payments, insurance, phone bills, and school expenses like books.

<div>Hello, a lot of you know me but if you don’t, I’m Clay. In March of 2021, I was feeling off. I went for check up and I was in critical condition and needed several emergency blood transfusions and iron infusions. They then tested everything from colonoscopy/endoscopy to liver biopsy, Bone marrow biopsy and blood tests of every kind. Finally after several MRI’s they noticed my spleen was about 4 times the average size with a blood clot. I was diagnosed with a rare genetic blood disorder and an unclassified cancer. Needless to say this has drastically drained any savings I had and all financial stability. I just had surgery to remove the spleen which puts me out of work for up to 6 weeks. I HATE DOING THIS. If you know me, you know that. I’m just looking for a Good Samaritan I guess. If you could please just share. That would be greatly appreciated. I love you. Just ready to get this cancer under control. Thank you.

<div>On August 23rd my son was shot multiple times in the back by a Kenosha Police Department officer, after my son broke up an altercation by an unrelated party. The shooting has now left my son critically injured as he fights for his life. The extent of my son’s injuries is unknown, but we remain prayerful as he continues to undergo multiple rounds of operations to save his life.This fund is established to cover my son’s medical expenses, mental and grief counseling for our family and to assist our family in the days to come, as we continue to seek justice for Jacob. Miles update.<br /><br />I want to thank everyone that has reached out through private message, text, and email.<br /><br />It is tough to keep up with all the messages, so I wanted to let you know that even though I may not have responded, I have read and appreciated each and every one of them.<br /><br />On Saturday night, my son Miles was riding his motorcycle southbound. He had a northbound SUV make a left turn right in front of him. He was wearing his helmet. His bike is done. This happened in Gainesville Florida.<br /><br />Miles was hit by the SUV and suffered the following:<br /><br />Broken left femur<br /><br />Broken right femur<br /><br />Broken right tibia (compound)<br /><br />Broken pelvis<br /><br />Groin injuries<br /><br />Broken sternum<br /><br />Broken ribs<br /><br />Crushed internal carotid artery <br /><br />Collapsed lung<br /><br />Loss of feeling in left arm<br /><br />Saturday night they were able to get his lung back up, but had to intubate him due to the amount of pain.<br /><br />Yesterday they did 8 hours of surgery on his legs and groin. They installed rods in both femurs and also in his tibia. They were also able to correct his groin injuries. They kept him intubated through the night.<br /><br />Today they did an MRI to check pelvis, lower back, and blood flow to his brain. They removed his breathing tube today and did an xray of his left arm. <br /><br />Miles is starting to wake up and is starting to realize what has happened. He does not remember the accident. He is in a ton of pain...and will be for quite some time. He is angry and confused...but still asked for a Coke! <br /><br />He is not out of the woods yet, but we are praying.<br /><br />All of the support has been a blessing. We have had people bring food to the hospital, and a number of people stop with offers of help.<br /><br />Miles work... Curia on the Drag ...has created a gofundme page to help him with his recovery. They are also having a benefit concert this weekend with donations being matched by Curia.<br /><br />The number of donations and "shares" is truly amazing. Our family is touched by the donations and messages.<br /><br />Thank you again for all the love and prayers sent our way.
