The diagnosis has turned this family’s life upside down, especially because Sal has always been the rock holding everything together. As he now prepares to begin chemotherapy on July 22, a long and difficult journey of 5 to 6 months of treatment lies ahead.

<div>This heartbreaking news comes as the family is already facing tremendous challenges. Ellie, Sal’s beloved wife, has been bravely fighting for her life for the past 11 years battling serious heart conditions and kidney failure. Despite her own health struggles, her strength and spirit have helped keep the family grounded.

<div>Sal has always been the sole provider, caregiver, and emotional anchor for both Ellie and Andrew. He has juggled the immense responsibilities of caring for his ill wife while working tirelessly to make ends meet. But now, with Sal’s health in jeopardy, the foundation of this family is at risk.

<div>Andrew, their teenage son, is only 15 years old. He has always been a kind, compassionate, and supportive young man helping take care of his mom whenever he could. But with his father now facing cancer, Andrew is watching both of his parents battle life-threatening illnesses, and the emotional and financial toll is more than any child should have to bear.

<div>This family is in desperate need of help. With Sal unable to work during his treatment, medical bills and daily living expenses are quickly piling up. The financial burden is overwhelming, and the emotional stress is immense.
