My name is Sabrina, and I am asking for help for my beautiful 6-year-old dog, Big Boy. In Winter 2026, during a blizzard that had schools closed, Big Boy woke up with his left eye crusted shut, irritated, and looking like it might just be pink-eye. Because the weather made travel impossible, I found an online vet and scheduled a 6 a.m. appointment that same day. The vet could not fully evaluate his eye over video and prescribed ointment, but after two days I could see he was not getting any better. I was told to take him to the hospital, and after more exams I learned there was a growth behind his eye. At Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital, I received the heartbreaking news that Big Boy is blind in his left eye and needs urgent surgery to have it removed. I am doing everything I can to find the care Big Boy needs, including looking into lower-cost options, but the procedure is still more than I can afford on my own. The funds from this fundraiser will help cover his eye removal surgery and also a biopsy of the removed eye so I can learn whether the tumor is cancerous.
