What Cat cares about

I'm 27, care for animals and work with bikes.

Thank you for your time. ♥ I'm looking for help regarding paying off medical bills for my cat, Ryo Archimedes. He is a Ragdoll Maine Coon mix who I found on Facebook for free back in 2015 and he's been my baby ever since. On Oct 17, 2025 late around Midnight he began panting and zoning out, once I realized he wasn't snapping out of it we rushed to the nearest vet and they quickly determined him to be in critical condition. After some time, the doctor explained that they had removed a large amount of fluid from his chest cavity and that they saw a mass or blood clot in his heart. She recommended euthanasia within 24 hours and stabilized him so I could take him home. She prescribed Ryo two medications, one for nausea and one to lower his blood pressure. By 5 AM on Oct 18 when we got home I thought I was spending my last morning with my companion. On Oct 18, 2025 at 8AM I began calling vets and was able to be seen by a clinic that day at 11AM, they were happy to hear that he was breathing fine and drinking water then referred us to a hospital with specialists and a walk-in service. We headed there directly after his appointment and got there by 2PM or so. Since there were no specialists in on Saturday, he was seen by a primary doctor and was on oxygen for several hours, we got home by about midnight the same day with a third topical medication for boosting his appetite. After more tests and scans, so far everything is pointing towards heart disease and roughly one more year with him. He has been eating! Prior to everything happening, the last time he ate was a tablespoon of wet food around 8AM on Oct 17, but around 7:30PM Oct 19 he finally ate something. Thankfully I had some lovely help with some mousse food and treat tubes since he refuses to eat anything else right now, however the vet bills were all me. First hospital: $934.75 Follow-up at a clinic: $120 Second hospital: $1,311.91 Down-payment for specialist: $50 [ESTIMATE] First specialist apt tests: $900 The goal is a rough estimate of what I may be looking at along the line, I'm not sure yet. All donations will go towards Ryo's vet bills and medications. Anything beyond my set goal will first go towards his food and litter. This photo was taken at 11:57PM on Oct 17, minutes before his episode. This image was taken at 5:04AM on Oct 18, once we got home. He's been stationed under my desk since we got back, I tried to make it cozy for him. The food, treats and litter he's been on since Oct 18, he typically eats Champion brand kibble and wet food.
