Hi, my name is Ryan, and I am here to tell Kiki's story. Kiki is my beloved cat. She was born on October 12th, 2014, with an autoimmune disease called Eosinophilic Granuloma. She came into my life when I was 23. Initially, I had chosen a different kitten from her litter, but she was determined to pick me! And ever since, it has been me and Kiki against the world. Kiki loves strawberries, play soccer in the kitchen, and she loves to be in the fresh air watching the birds and chipmunks!
This beautiful girl has fallen severely ill. After a visit to her primary vet, we were told she is critically anemic. We rushed her to 2 different emergency vets trying to get her the transfusions she needs to come back to us. The emergency vet who was able to stabilize Kiki was shocked she was still alive by the time she was able to help.
Long story short we are simply not ready to give up on our girl. She has been more than a simple house pet. She's been a best friend, a cuddle buddy when times were rough, a source of joy, energy and love. She is LITERALLY always there when we needed her most. So we will do the same for her!
My SO & I are both hard working & dedicated parents to this loving girl. This was just not an expense we were expecting so suddenly.
Unfortunately after having already committed thousands of dollars to her care she is still not out of the woods yet. The vet does believe she can make a full recovery; but it will not be without more transfusions, tests and post treatment.
If you're reading this please share, donate even a dollar if you are able. Those of you who know me, know I don't ask people for anything. I pride myself on standing on my own merit. But there isn't a single thing I wouldn't do for Kiki. She has been my companion since she was 7 weeks old. She's a certified girls girl ♀️ she is the light in my life. Please help me bring our girl home.
I am here to ask with my whole heart for aid. Any help gives Kiki a shot at another day!
Kiki is what brings joy to my life every single day. It is the most paralyzing feeling to watch your fur baby, your best friend, your ride or die of almost 12 years in critical condition.
I have created a GoFundMe to help ease the burden of these emergency veterinary expenses and provide support during this incredibly difficult time. Thank you for your kindness, your compassion, and your support.
