I am reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my family. Over the last five years, I have lost three sisters and a granddaughter, and now my husband, Mark Mitchell, is in end-of-life hospice care at home because of a traumatic brain injury. My daughter is also at home receiving care after being diagnosed with kidney failure, with doctors giving a timeline of six months to a year. For the last three years, I have been unable to work because I have been caring for my loved ones full time. The weight of so much loss, along with the emotional and physical demands of caregiving, has become more than I can carry alone.
The funds raised will help with medical bills, upcoming funeral expenses, urgent home repairs, and extra support so I can continue caring for my husband and daughter at home. Our house is in desperate need of repairs, including the roof, foundation, some windows, and a wheelchair ramp so home care can continue safely. Any kindness, support, or donation means more than I can express. I am deeply grateful for every bit of help. Tomorrow is not promised, and life can change so quickly. Please, if you are able, help us through this difficult time, and hold your loved ones close. Life is short, so eat the cake, buy the shoes, enjoy the ride, and take time for others.
