Abigail is passionate about bringing the community together for ArtPrize, a celebration of creativity and collaboration. This year, Abigail has a bold vision: to make history by being the first film to ever win the public vote at ArtPrize. In all the years of the event, no film has achieved this, and Abigail believes that with the support of friends, neighbors, and art lovers, this dream can become a reality. The project is not just about winning—it's about showing what a united community can accomplish when everyone comes together for something meaningful.

To make this vision possible, Abigail needs help covering some important costs. Renting Wealthy Theater for the ArtPrize premiere is $1,000, and $2,000 is needed for merch to pass out and encourage people to vote for the film. The merch will serve as a reminder and invitation for everyone to participate and support the film. Every donation, big or small, will help move this project forward and create a ripple of love and joy throughout the community.

Abigail is deeply grateful for the continual support and invites you to join in this journey. By contributing, sharing, or simply cheering on the project, you are helping to spread positivity and make history together. This is not something that can be done alone—it takes the strength and generosity of many. Thank you for being part of this movement and for believing in the power of community.

Help Abigail Make ArtPrize History With Film

Many people have asked how they can support Jordan, and the victims and families affected by this tragedy. This fundraiser will help give Jordan the time, resources, and financial stability to focus on his own physical and emotional recovery while also helping care for our older brother, Michael, as we move forward.

I’m Nikkii Tappero, Jordan Salinas’ sister. We have learned that several fake GoFundMe pages are using Jordan’s name. Being deeply thankful for all the love, support, and kind words sent his way, we want to protect you all from being scammed. To verify that this is the official page, I’ve shared a few family favorite photos up top.

And to update everyone on Jordan: he is safely back home, doing well, and as expected, recovering from this experience. Thank you all for your heartfelt concern for my brother. We couldn't be more proud.

Jordan showed incredible courage by stepping in to help others during an unimaginable tragedy. In a moment of chaos, he chose to put others before himself, and his selflessness has inspired so many people.

This fundraiser has been created for those who have asked how they can support Jordan. Any donations will help ease the financial burdens that come with the aftermath of this event and allow him the time and resources to focus on healing and moving forward.

There is absolutely no expectation to donate—your prayers, kind words, and support mean the world to Jordan and everyone who cares about him. Every contribution, no matter the amount, is deeply appreciated.

The Fearless Patriot

Hi friends, family and generous strangers! I’ve waited as long as I could before creating a go fund me because I thought I’d be able to make it through, and as many of you know I struggle to ask for help. Unfortunately I’ve reached a point where it’s time to lean on others for help during this difficult time. Last year I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, resulting in two surgeries and 6 rounds of chemotherapy which I’m still receiving. These procedures, along with costs of therapy and any other essentials has seriously hurt my bank account. I’m not sure what the future holds as far as billing and my medical debt is already in the thousands. Anything helps, I appreciate the time you took to read this and any generous donations

Help Me Through My Cancer Battle

After witnessing the extraordinary actions of the hero who helped disarm one of the attackers during the Bondi tragedy, an act that prevented the loss of countless more lives, we felt compelled to act.

In a moment of chaos and danger, Ahmed al-Ahmed stepped forward without hesitation. His actions were selfless, instinctive, and undeniably heroic, taken without regard for his own safety. Early reports indicate he was shot twice in the process while protecting others.

This GoFundMe has been created to show our gratitude and support for someone who demonstrated incredible courage when it mattered most.

To kick things off and lead by example, we are making an initial donation of $50,000 to honour this absolute hero and help support him through recovery, and the lasting impact of this traumatic event.

No one expects to be a hero, but when the moment came, he was.

Any contribution, big or small, is a powerful way to say thank you.

in May 2025 at the age of 48 I was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. I have no family history and had no symptoms.

I have had chemo as well as a full hysterectomy as part of my treatment plan. I’m responding to treatment however my doctor said that this type of cancer almost always comes back. Once my chemo is completed I will be receiving a medication called Avastin for a year.

I am also a type 1 diabetic with retinopathy. I receive eye injections in both eyes about every three months. While I do have health insurance, deductibles, copays and out of pocket expenses do add up.

I’ve been out of work since May and I am receiving a reduced income.

If you’re able to help I would greatly appreciate it. Thoughts, prayers and well wishes are appreciated too:)

My name is Wail (islandock1 on TikTok), and I am the a partner at Zack's Finest Deli in Staten Island. I started the project "Grades for Grabs" as a way to reward kids in my neighborhood with money and snacks for having good grades in school. I created this fundraiser to help support that project, as all funding comes out of my pocket. I'd like to be able to continue supporting as many kids as possible through this project. The community of supporters I've connected to online is making a genuine difference in the lives of these kids. I've seen a huge difference in kids grades, from averaging 60% to now averaging percentages in the 80s and 90s. Thanks for all your support!

In March, my mom's life was forever changed by a devastating car accident. Since then, she has faced relentless challenges, including two weeks in the ICU and requiring ongoing in-home care. The accident caused serious neurological complications, including a worsening of her multiple sclerosis, which had been in remission for years. It also left her unable to use her right hand—a critical tool in her work as a cosmetology instructor—and recent concussion-related issues have made it impossible for her to drive, further limiting her independence.

The uncertainty surrounding her recovery has been overwhelming. She dreams of returning to work, but that day feels far away. In the meantime, the financial strain has been crushing. We've exhausted all our savings just trying to stay afloat, but it's not enough to cover the mounting essential bills and basic needs.

Seeing my mom endure so much pain while also worrying about how to make ends meet has been heartbreaking. She is the strongest person I know, and I want nothing more than to help her focus on healing without the constant burden of financial stress.

Any donations would go directly toward easing this burden—helping us cover essential bills and needs while we navigate this incredibly difficult time. Even just sharing our story means the world to us.

Thank you for your kindness and support from the bottom of our hearts. We are endlessly grateful.

He is a great little helper at home, and always tells his mom he is “bigstrong” (It is one word to him). For the past month, this sweet and “bigstrong” little boy has been fighting a mystery illness. After multiple trips to the doctor, nothing seemed to be working.

On March 15th doctors found a large tumor on Luke’s Kidney, and referred Steve and Carrie to Primary Children’s Hospital for further testing. We have since learned that Luke has been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. He has what is called a Wilms tumor. Luke had surgery this week to do a biopsy and have a central port installed. He will begin chemotherapy immediately to try and shrink the tumor. They will do another surgery in 6 weeks to remove the tumor, along with Luke’s right kidney, which has completely shut down. After that, Luke will continue with chemotherapy and radiation treatments for at least another 6 months. While the prognosis is good, and Luke is expected to make a full recovery, the Beeke family is at the very beginning of what is sure to be a long road ahead.

Steve and Carrie are currently living in St. George, Utah. Steve quit his job this past month to help get Luke to doctor’s appointments while Carrie works full time as an art teacher for Tuachan High School. Because Luke’s treatments are in Salt Lake, Carrie and Steve feel that it would be best to re-locate, so that they can be closer to Luke’s treatment facilities, medical staff and family who can help with childcare for Luke and his younger brother Ashton, etc. This means Carrie and Steve will need to find new housing, and a new means of earning income for the time being.

This experience has been an overwhelming and humbling one for the Beeke family. If you know them, you know that they are the first to give help and the last to ask for it. They live modestly and work hard to provide a happy and loving home for their children. In an effort to help them with the financial cost of relocation, housing and mounting medical bills we have set up this GoFundMe page in their behalf. We believe in the saying, “many hands make light work,” and would love to show our love and support for the Beeke family in their time of need. Please join us in being “Bigstrong for Beeke” in Luke’s fight against cancer.

On Sunday night, August 13th, Alex Wieland of Plainwell was driving southbound on US131 and was hit head on by a wrong-way driver. Alex was unable to avoid the wrong-way driver. On impact, a fire started in the engine compartment of Alex’s car and the car flipped over. First responders were able flip Alex’s car back over and get Alex, who was unconscious, out of the fiery car.

Alex has been hospitalized since Sunday night at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in serious condition, with a severe leg injury, several other broken bones, and concussion-like symptoms. It is expected that Alex will need to be transferred to another facility for physical therapy.

This GoFundMe page has been set up to help with Alex’s mounting expenses, as well as family expenses since his father, Jeff Wieland of Wieland Auto Repair, is unable to work while caring for Alex’s needs throughout an expected long recovery.

Wednesday Spotlight from the desk of Sheriff Frank Baker:

I wanted to share with you some details regarding the tragic and unfortunately fatal traffic crash on US-131 Sunday night (8/13/17). This tragic crash could have claimed a second life if not for the efforts of our Deputies, a Gun Lake Tribal Police Officer, and an Officer of the Wayland Police Department. One of the vehicles, operated by the victim in this crash, caught fire with the driver still trapped inside. The officers from the Gun Lake Tribal Police and Wayland Police Department arrived and found the victims’ vehicle had rolled over and was on fire. The officers, with great risk to their own safety, approached the vehicle and attempted to extricate the injured driver from the burning car. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office also arrived and began attempting to extinguish the fire. They exhausted all their fire extinguishers and began flagging down semi-trucks, knowing they carry fire extinguishers on-board, to further fight the fire. They were successful in obtaining an additional fire extinguisher from a truck driver and were able to continue fighting the fire and get the driver extricated.

This is a great example of the cooperation and work being down by law enforcement here in Allegan County. Their efforts saved the life of this driver and the Sheriff’s Office will be recognizing their efforts with a formal award and ceremony acknowledging their work. The Law Enforcement Officers who were involved are Officer Josh Blanton of the Gun Lake Tribal Police, Officer Jonathon Schaefer of the Wayland Police Department, Deputy Ross Mysliwiec, Deputy Rob Flokstra, and Deputy Ryan Rewa.

I would like to personally thank these fine Law Enforcement Officers for their heroic efforts.

Sheriff Frank Baker

Alex's and Family Expenses

Hello everybody,
As most of you know, I am Dustan's girlfriend of two years, and during that time I've witnessed Dustan's health peak and decline. Every time we receive a set back, Dustan is the first to march forward and continue fighting, not only for himself, but other children fighting similar battles across the country. He is one of the strongest, most enduring, courageous, and charitable people I know, and I believe he's more than earned the right to recieve the same generousity he's given to others.

Dustan is a 5 time cancer survivor who has been fighting stage 5 Wilms Tumor since he was 6 years old. Throughout his 22 years, he has fought countless recurring tumor growth, endured multiple treatments and clinical trials, and still manages to raise money, care packages and dream days for other childhood cancer survivors through his non-profit organization DC Strong.

Last year, Dustan's condition worsened and he was no longer able to stay on his medication which had been improving his condition over the past 3 years. Since then, he requires the use of oxygen to help him to continue to live his life to the fullest while he and his doctors continue to fight for a cure.

The use of regular oxygen tanks make portability a struggle, weighing about 7 lbs. each, and require constant upkeep while providing only a few hours of use. Due to the condition of Dusty's lungs, this makes tasks like climbing the stairs and getting in and out of vehicles more difficult on his body physically.

We have found the use of a portable oxygen filtration system makes everyday tasks much easier and increases the overall quality of life for Dustan and his family.
The machine weighs only 1.5 lbs and contains a chargeable 8 hour battery, which makes travel and contant use much easier and convenient.

The machine which Dustan has been using was only a rental and will be returned within 24 hours. The machine is not covered through insurance and costs $3,000 dollars out of pocket.

Dustan has sacrificed and given back to the community so much since his diagnosis, and I believe he and his family should not have to bare the weight of this medical expense alone. D and his family are faithful, independant, capable people who never ask for help or think to burden others with their troubles, so this is me reaching out for support as a loved one who has witnessed the toll cancer can take on a family first hand. As the DC Strong team says, "No One Fights Alone," and I believe this should also be made true for Dusty and his family.

God is a great provider, and I believe full-heartedly that we will receive this machine one way or another. If you do not have ability to donate financially, please send good thoughts and prayers for continued healing, strength, and peresevrence as we continue to move forward despite our circumstances.

2 Corinthians 9:8

Thank you so much, everyone!
Hailey

Help Kalamazoo shooting victim Abigail Kopf in her fight for survival.

Abigail Kopf, 14, was on her way back from a show with Grandma Barb and friends when she was brutally shot and critically wounded in a series of random and senseless shootings in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As Abbie’s doctors began talking about donating her organs after death, Abbie suddenly squeezed her mother’s hand. She was not done fighting for her life.

Abbie is continuing her struggle to overcome a horrific gunshot wound. Medical expenses will be overwhelming for her family during her long expected recovery. We now have a chance to stop this most vile act from prevailing over the most innocent and best of us.
