HELP US HOLD CITIZENS BANK ACCOUNTABLE! DID YOU KNOW? An estimated 70,000 of our neighbors are in Immigration and Customs Enforcement prison detention centers. These prisons have been cited for medical neglect, understaffing and forced labor (KFF). According to ICE, 46 people have died in detention since January and there “has been a 2,450 percent increase in the number of people with no criminal record held in ICE detention on any given day”. (American Immigration Council). DID YOU KNOW? Two of the companies operating these prisons, CoreCivic and GEO Group, have received financing from CITIZENS BANK. DID YOU KNOW? Citizens Bank deepened their relationship with these prison companies even after 9 of the country’s largest banks withdrew financial support. “Since 2012, Citizens helped CoreCivic and GEO Group access more than two billion in credit.” (De-ICE Citizens Bank Coalition ) DOES THIS INFORMATION MAKE YOU MAD? Then help us raise funds to purchase a billboard asking Citizens Bank to stop their financial support of companies running ICE prison detention centers. We want them to understand that they are betraying their own credo “to perform our best every day so we can do more for our customers, colleagues, communities and shareholders”. WHO ARE WE? Rightful Resistance Indivisible Group. We’re a small group of your fellow citizens, working under the One Million Rising/Indivisible banner, who are not content with counting on our politicians to hold companies accountable for their actions. On December 1, 2025, we joined forces with other activists on a billboard asking the flying public to boycott Avelo Airlines, the only commercial airline then flying deportations for ICE. The billboard was near the airline’s hub in New Haven, CT. In late December, responding to pressure from protests, politicians, media coverage and our billboard, the airline announced an end to its deportation flights. We then donated paid time still available on that billboard to other activist groups to alert immigrants about their rights if detained by ICE. OUR GOAL? To finance a highly visible billboard near Citizen Banks's headquarters in Providence, RI. Any funds we raise above the cost of the billboard will be used to continue our fight against Citizens Bank's actions!
