<strong>Takiesha Nicole Smith</strong>
<br>
<br>
 Takiesha Smith was a beloved sister, daughter, cousin, and friend whose recent unexpected passing, due to medical complications, has left our family heartbroken. In the middle of this devastating loss, our family is now facing the difficult responsibility of making arrangements to give Takiesha the loving farewell she deserves. Takiesha meant so much to so many people. She was a huge supporter of the Portland music community, independent businesses, and a mentor and peer supporter for individuals struggling with addictions. She was deeply loved, and her love for our family was something she shared proudly and often with her friends.
<br>
<br>
 This fundraiser will help our family cover the funeral and memorial expenses that have come so suddenly, including cremation, transportation, an urn for her ashes, a funeral or memorial service, a reception for family and friends, and other necessary funeral-home and memorial costs. Our family is asking for support from friends, loved ones, the community, and anyone moved to help. No donation is too small, and if giving is not possible, sharing this fundraiser would mean so much. Most of all, our family asks for your prayers, love, and kind thoughts as they honor Takiesha’s life, grieve this painful loss, and remember the lasting impact she made on everyone around her.

Honor Takiesha Nicole Smith

<div>On New Year’s Eve our beloved Adrian “Adel” Taylor suffered a severe stroke. She spent 5 days in a coma and passed away peacefully on the morning of January 5th.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Adrian’s sudden passing affects the whole Portland community, as she contributed so much to various scenes through her plethora of artistic/musical talents and unwavering love for the people she’s connected with over the last 20 plus years. But no one is more affected than her 21 year old son, Manakel Taylor, who she raised on her own since his birth and was currently sharing living expenses with. He needs the generosity of her community more than ever, as he is now forced to move out of their home to a more affordable place and pay all of his living expenses on his own.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anything you can contribute to this young man would be immensely appreciated. Let’s give him the opportunity to grieve his beautiful mother and figure out his transition into independence without worrying about finances for at least a few months. Those who know and love Adrian know how much this would mean to her. Thank you!

<div>Hi, my name is Sarah and I am asking for your generosity in helping my friend Callie and her family through the most difficult situation they have ever and likely will ever go through.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is 9 year old Ariana. She is an absolute ray of sunshine and one of the sweetest kids I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ariana has been fighting for her life since Thursday May 18th when she went to the hospital in critical condition. She went into cardiac arrest and had to have CPR for over an hour. Ariana was in surgery almost the entire day on Friday to find and stop internal bleeding. She came to the hospital with several bruises all over her body. Ariana also had to have multiple surgeries because she was not getting circulation to her leg and was unable to stop bleeding.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It is unclear what caused Ariana’s serious and life threatening injuries, but there is an ongoing investigation, and she was not with Callie at the time it occurred.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ariana’s condition is improving, but she is definitely not in the clear and her family needs help covering bills, lost wages, and other expenses. All money raised will go directly to Callie.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you so much for reading and your consideration in donating.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please respect the families privacy. They are only having immediate family at the hospital at this time.

Help Ariana’s family

Our dear friend and co worker Jorge is in need of financial help. If you know him, you would know he would never ask for help, and that is why myself (Krista), James, and Anthony are asking for help for him. He needs to have surgery on his brain to remove a tumor. This has been causing him to feel faint, lose concentration and more. He has already had to take weeks off work due to symptoms and now he will be out of work for at least three months. He does not have enough sick leave or vacation to cover his income during this hard time. He and his family depends on his income and we would love to ease some of the stress over worrying about bills. <br /><br />We are asking for anyone who knew him or even those who can understand the circumstances and don't know him, to come together for Jorge and help raise his spirits. If you cannot help financially and would like to donate some meals, please let us know and we can help arrange that. He has four kids and home and his wonderful wife. I know they will appreciate all the help they can get. He is a man who is there for his friends and family, and even co workers he doesn't know very well. Its our time to return his kindness and help him get through this. <br /><br />His surgery is the second week of October 2020 and he will be having this surgery before the holidays and will be recovering over the holidays. Such a hard time to be out of work. Any help of any kind is much appreciated. Thank you so much!

Come together for Jorge

Mykel Wayne Peterson was born on April 29th, 2012 in Portland, Oregon to parents Michael Peterson and Thmeka Curry. Mykel was a happy loving energetic and smart youth boy who was 4 years old soon to be 5. He had a fervent and sincere love for his family.  He will be forever loved for the way that he selflessly loved them and for the memories he left. He loved holidays and family get togethers; just expect him to always be on his PlayStation. He was loved by all and will be truly missed.<br /><br /> <br /><br />On March 10th, 2017, Mykel went to a routine dental visit; where his dentist suggested to repair previous treatment.  And due to complications with the procedure , Mykel pasted. <br /> This is the original go fund me page for Mykel! <br /> <br /><br />Important message to everyone reading this unfortunate event:<br /><br />Thank you very much for taking the time to read Mykel Peterson’s story. We are asking for any finical help you can provide the family to ease there burdens during this time. We appreciate all donations that a given and those who are unable to give. Please share this story with others. Thank you for your time and love.

<div>On December 29, 2025, my mother and two adult sisters were seriously injured in a head-on collision with a semi-truck while stopped at a traffic signal on North Columbia Boulevard in Portland.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A young child, my four year old great nephew, was also in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While stopped at a left turn signal, their vehicle was struck head on by a semi truck.
</div>
<div>The force of the crash pushed their car across multiple lanes, over a curb, and onto nearby railroad tracks.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Emergency responders and bystanders acted quickly, and we are deeply grateful for the help they provided at the scene.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>All three adults in the household were injured. Two family members remain hospitalized, and recovery is ongoing. The child was thankfully spared serious injury but has experienced bruising and is being monitored.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Their only household vehicle was totaled, and one of my sisters is currently unable to work due to her injuries.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Doctors have now determined that my mother will require placement in a rehabilitation or treatment facility for an extended period of time, currently estimated at at least three months, as she recovers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She is the primary person who manages the household. Medical providers are still evaluating whether one of my sisters will also require short term transitional or rehabilitative care following her hospitalization.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This fundraiser is to help support the household with essential living expenses during recovery, including housing costs, food, transportation needs, and other basic necessities while medical care, insurance, and employment matters are being addressed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I am organizing this fundraiser on their behalf. I do not live in the household, and all funds raised will go directly to my mother and sisters as they focus on healing and maintaining stability during this difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any funds not immediately needed will be used to support ongoing recovery and household needs as circumstances evolve.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any support, whether through a donation, sharing this page, or keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers, is deeply appreciated.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>1/1 Update: Thank you for the continued support and prayers. We are facing a major challenge with discharge planning. My mother needs a back brace that is difficult to put on and take off safely, and the other adults in the home are also injured. The hospital has told us that facility based rehab may not be approved, and we are being told that in home care could be out of pocket. We are pushing back and advocating for the care they need, but in the meantime we still have household bills, transportation needs, and daily basics to cover. If you can donate or share, we truly appreciate it.
