<div>We’re creating this fundraiser to support Jess, better known to many as Jekka. On Tuesday 7 July 2026 Our family was turned upside down when my beautiful sister was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

<div>Instead of focusing on living her life, Jek is being flown to St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney to begin treatment as soon as possible. This has been a sudden and unexpected change for Jek and our family. Our focus is now on supporting her through the many months ahead.

<div>If you know Jek, you’ll know she’s always the first to show up for the people around her. Whether it’s supporting her family and friends, cheering on Wagga City Rugby Club or spending time with her beloved fur baby, Goose she always puts others first.

<div>While she fights this battle, the everyday expenses of life don’t stop. Like so many people, she has ongoing financial commitments that continue to pile up. The Vearing Family - Remembering Dave ‘Harry’ Vearing

<div>Jamal was involved in a devastating hit-and-run incident involving a reckless driver, charged on drug, weapon and alcohol related offences and then released on bail. The driver was driving dangerously, slowed near the group of teenage boys walking home, and when they attempted to move away for their own safety, the vehicle made a sudden U-turn, accelerated toward them and struck Jamal.

<div>Out of respect for Jamal’s family’s safety and privacy, and due to current domestic violence protection arrangements, we are not publicly disclosing the precise location details surrounding the incident.

<div>Jamal was critically injured and airlifted to Canberra Hospital, where he remains under specialist care.
</div>

<div>At the time of writing this, less than 24 hours after the incident, Jamal’s injuries and full prognosis are still being assessed. While doctors have identified several serious injuries, the complete picture of his condition and long-term recovery is still evolving.

<div>Jamal is known for his discipline, positivity, and drive, always encouraging others, always pushing himself to be better, not just physically, but personally.

<div>Jamal lives with his mother, a courageous domestic violence survivor and a single mother raising two children. She has worked tirelessly to give her sons safety, stability and opportunity, despite facing challenges no family should ever have to endure.

<div>For their protection, Jamal’s mother is currently under domestic violence protection arrangements, which is why we are being careful not to disclose specific details about their movements or exact locations publicly.

<div>Carevan Wagga is a not-for-profit charity for local people which provides meals and social interaction throughout the community as its primary goal. Carevan Wagga Wagga Incorporated prepares and distributes over 500 free meals each week to people in the Wagga Wagga community who are experiencing food insecurity and social isolation. I am lucky enough to spend my Wednesday nights with the Carevan team as a volunteer.

<div>As part of the Wagga Wagga Takes 2 commitments, I will spend the next few months learning choreography, and putting my singing ability to the test, to put on what I hope to be a magical performance over three incredible nights over the October long weekend.

<div>On Sunday the 7th of April I will be running my first Marathon race in Canberra. I am dedicating this race to my much loved niece Grace Fellows who is currently fighting a battle with cancer. 
</div>

<div>Grace is my two year old niece and has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Grace is being treated at Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick and because of the rare type of cancer Grace has, her medical team are navigating their way through this journey with Grace. 
</div>
<div>Since being diagnosed Ted, Emily, Grace &amp; Paddy have already made multiple trips to Sydney for scans and treatment.
</div>
<div>I'm asking you to support me as I run the race of my life to support Grace in the fight of her life. All funds will go towards covering some of the costs that come with being a regional patient, as Grace faces this fight.  Even a small donation can help me reach my goal.

A Race for Grace

<div>On Saturday the 16th Trish and John's lives were unexpectidly and tragically lost in a car accident returning home from work.

<div>They sadly leave behind their 3 children, Teya, Jack and Caleb.

<div>John and Trish were always together, partners in crime we could say, they were a massive part of the community and involved in many local fundraisers, and a part of the RFS community for many many years.

<div>The community have been so supportive and we know so many want to know what they can do to help, we are raising funds to help with the funeral arrangements for Trish and John and to help lesson the burden on the children, unfortunately Trish and John had been so busy with their buisness and the harvest season they had not yet got their christmas shopping done so this will also be used to give the children a christmas, and support them with

Helping Support Rhylee On His Leukemia Journey

<div>Hi, my name is Jes and I’m a close friend of the beautiful Kemp Family. Unfortunaetly luka was flown to Westmead hospital a week ago as the doctors were worried about his liver. Lots of tests have been done and looks as if Luka will be in hospital for a while to undergo more testing and to give him antibiotics and medication to try and unblock his bile ducts and there is a possibility he has a liver infection on top of all of this.

<div>All of their family and friends are really feeling super helpless in this situation. With 2 other kids, numerous bills back home that don’t stop,  food costs, petrol costs, trying to run a business etc I wanted to make this to help out in any way we can.

Support for Luka & The Kemp Family

<p>It is difficult to put into words how devastating and heart breaking it is for everyone with the sudden passing of such an exceptional Woman and Mother, Suzie Paterson (Richards) on Sunday 11 July 2021. A loving, hard working, brave, important human who suffered silently from a rare and aggressive cancer, Metastatic Leiomyosarcoma.

Suzie's Fundraiser

Our dear little Eddy who turns 2 in October was recently diagnosed with Leukaemia. <br /><br />He is the most soft-hearted, gentle and sweet little boy and he has just started a 2 year treatment plan. He will have to stay in Sydney Children’s Hospital for at least the next 6-8 months. His Mum Candice and Dad Mark are staying as strong as they can for him and will be by his side throughout this incredibly difficult journey. <br /><br />Candice has met so many beautiful people through her travels and life journey thus far, including her husband Mark.  The only way we can think to help them is to take away any financial pressures and so we are hoping that our friends and family who are kind-hearted and generous people might be happy to help them out in any way they can<br /><br />We (the girls) are fortunate enough to have retained school friendships varying from 22-29 years and organised this page.  We all live in different parts of Australia from Broome to Killara, Mackay to Junee and without the help and support of you all couldn't have made this possible.  <br /><br />The funds will be used in various ways as no doubt Cand and Mark will have some very unexpected costs along the way, whether it be medical bills, transport costs, accommodation or even the just the added expense of being away from home.    We thank you in advance for your generosity, kind words, thoughts and wishes.<br /><br />On behalf of our friends Cand and Mark and of course the little trooper Eddy!!! .. lots of love  xxxooo

Little Eddy

Sonny is a very sweet, loving, 5 year old boy who loves his family, enjoys motorbikes, camping, fishing , music - just like his dad. Sonny is the second born child and has an older sister and a younger brother.<br /><br />Sonny was diagnosed on 15th February with a brain tumour. He only began showing symptoms a few weeks before this and he had just started school. He was quickly flown to Sydney where 2 weeks later it was discovered that Sonny’s condition was inoperable and terminal in nature. <br /><br />His family, of course are heartbroken and in need of support for medical expenses and daily living as they will not be working during this time in order to spend as much time with Sonny as possible. <br /><br />Donations would be appreciated, no matter how large or small. They will make all the difference, and will relieve the pressure on the family at this most difficult time.
