I am starting this fundraiser for myself as I grieve the loss of my dad. I never thought I would be creating a GoFundMe and asking for support to help with my dad’s funeral, but here we are. His passing has left me heartbroken, and on top of that loss, I am now facing the very real costs that come with laying him to rest and bringing loved ones together to remember him. This is one of the hardest moments of my life, and it is difficult to ask for help, but I know I cannot do this alone.

The funds raised will help me cover funeral and repass costs during this incredibly difficult time. Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, would mean so much to me and my family. I truly need your help right now, and I am deeply grateful for any kindness, prayers, and support you can give as I honor my dad and try to get through this loss. Thank you for standing with me during this painful time and for helping me give my dad the farewell he deserves.

Help Holley Cover Dad’s Funeral Costs

Our mother, granny, sister, aunt, and friend Nora Stevenson, passed away peacefully on 10/6/26 after a long battle with end stage renal disease. We are raising funds to help cover her funeral costs and burial expenses as our family works to honor the time we had with her and lay her to rest with dignity.

She was a wonderful person to everyone she came into contact with.

The loves of her life were God, education, her family, and people in general. She showed this love in everything that she did, from planning programs for the youth at church to sitting with friends and family in their times of need to sharing a word, letter, or LONG text message to encourage you on your way. We will never be able to duplicate the person she was on this earth, but we are so grateful for the light she shined on us while she was here.

For the past year of her life, our family served as her primary caregiver. We were responsible for all aspects of her daily living and all of her medical needs, and it has been physically and emotionally taxing to watch her decline. Losing her while carrying the weight of caregiving has been incredibly hard on all of us but also an tangible way for us to show our love.

This fundraiser will go directly toward her funeral arrangements and burial expenses. For anyone who would like to contribute, your support would be appreciated as we remember and honor her.

Thank you for taking the time to read and for keeping our family in your thoughts amd prayers during this time of loss.

We are immensely grateful!

Sincerely,

Honoring the life of Nora Stevenson

Last Week, Our Family's Lives Changed Forever:

We never imagined asking for help like this, but we cannot do this alone...

My name is Tachinnah Tyler, and I am the daughter of Tameka Mosby-Tyler, a 45-year-old single mother of five and grandmother of three who has always been the heart, strength, and laughter of our family. Today, she is fighting to stay alive after sudden kidney failure.

Tameka is not just a mom; she is our best friend, our safe place, and the person who has carried our family through some of the hardest moments imaginable. She raised five children largely on her own, guided us through losing our childhood home in a devastating fire, periods of homelessness, and every obstacle in between. No matter what life threw at her, she kept us together and kept us hopeful!

She is still the sole provider for her children, supporting me through college and co-parenting my 16-year-old sibling through high school.

Now, she needs us ... and you!

How This Happened:

December 2022 - She caught COVID-19 and nearly lost her life. It took months to recover.

August 2023 - Routine blood work revealed dangerously abnormal levels. Doctors immediately hospitalized her, describing her as "walking dead." After extensive testing, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). We were told she could live a normal life with medication.

2023-2025 - She did everything right! She changed her diet, set fitness goals, underwent medical treatment, and stayed optimistic about her future. As recently as November 2025, her doctors said she was doing well!

Then everything changed...

February 2026 - She became ill with the flu and never recovered. Weeks passed with severe fatigue, vomiting, body aches, loss of appetite, and weakness.

March 12 - She went to the emergency room. Doctors discovered her kidney function had rapidly declined to critical levels. She was admitted to the emergency room immediately and was not allowed to go home.

March 15 - A kidney biopsy was performed to determine the cause of the sudden deterioration.

March 17 - Biopsy results confirmed End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). Her kidneys had collapsed due to a genetic condition. The damage is permanent and irreversible.

March 18 - She was told dialysis was her only option for survival. She asked for a short time to process and to tell her children.

March 19 - She underwent emergency surgery to begin dialysis and immediately received her first treatment, with virtually no time to adjust to her new reality.

Current Condition:

Now she requires dialysis 3 days per week, 4–5 hours per session just to stay alive.

Her job cannot accommodate this schedule, leaving her unable to earn income.

She has no personal transportation and must rely on her children to get to life-saving treatments.

She urgently needs a kidney transplant and is seeking a living donor while also working to be placed on the transplant list.

Why We Need YOU?!

Because of the dialysis schedule and her declining health, she can no longer work enough to support herself or her children.

Our family is now facing overwhelming expenses, including:

• Rent and basic living costs (about $2,300/month)

• Transportation to life-saving dialysis treatments

• Medical bills and medications

• Therapy to cope with this sudden trauma

• Food and daily necessities

• Costs related to finding a kidney donor and transplant preparation

• Support for her dependent children (one in college and one in high school)

We are trying to raise at least one year of living expenses so she can focus on surviving, healing, and securing a transplant, not worrying about losing her home or how to feed her family.

How You Can Help:

Her children need their mom.

Her grandchildren need their grandma.

The world needs her light.

If you are able, please consider donating. No amount is too small! Every contribution goes directly to Tameka to help cover her essential living and medical expenses during this life-threatening time.

If you cannot donate, please share this campaign widely and keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Sharing can save lives.

We are also actively seeking a living kidney donor!

Thank you for reading our story. Thank you for caring. Thank you for helping us fight to keep our mom here with us.

With gratitude and hope,
